Such breathtaking scenery. Only thing around here for viewing pleasure are crawfish boils and house trailers. No mountains to speak of. Hell, my house is only 23 feet above sea level (120 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico).

I thought the Brits were going to upgrade Thrust II and give their own record another shot? I like Thrust II's approach better with the twin engines as opposed to a single cigar body. Either way 800mph on land is absolutely nuts. What is even more crazy is the world speed record on water: 317.596mph. Although Ken Warby is still alive many have died trying to beat it. Currently there are 3 boats being built that will try to break the record,and even Warby is building another boat.

I will be the Manager over the Applications Engineering department for a national instrument company. Basically, we take the orders from the customers and bring them to the production department. We have people skills! (horrible interpretation of the movie, The Office) Lots of opportunity. I see potential for Fanuc robots, lean manufacturing, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, cost savings galore, openings in the chain of command above me for higher pay, etc. Seems like a win win at the moment.

Thanks for the comments. I figured if I was much older and had false teeth the Busa would let me know when to shift. Since I'm a youngin' with a full set of teeth that don't rattle at 11,000 rpm I need gadgets to tell me when to shift.

I saw a Nology unit in powderbrake's ride, a Digital Race Electronics unit in JohnCh's ride, and a slot machine in BobDrye's ride. My goal is to never take my eyes off the road and/or track. My FlatShifter paddle shift kit will be installed after I am certified road legal. The Ecliptech shift light will keep my eyes off the tachometer and the rev limiter. The final "eyes off" gadgets need to be warning lights for oil pressure, oil temp, and coolant temp. I currently have Autometer digital gauges for those, but I may need to swap out for a digital unit with peak hold/warning. Any recommendations?
