  1. My dune buggy's 12.16 at 116 mph is better than half that field of overpriced hardware. I'd still take the Evora. Tom
  2. I have an aluminum fendered and floor'ed tilt back car hauler that needed polishing after 10 years of use. I took it to a huge truck stop service center where they wash big over the road trucks. And there were a couple of guys there that did just the aluminum wheels of the big rigs. They were black from polishing compound and aluminum dust. They did my whole trailer for 250 bucks. Well worth it. Tom
  3. My brother, a paramedic with Scottsdale responded to a car-horse accident. The horse went through the windshield and ended up mostly in the back seat with two of its legs sticking out of the passenger door which was forced open by the impact. They started poking around in the back seat looking for someone to scoop and run with and asked the girl talking on her cell phone if she had seen the accident. She said hell yeah, I was driving! After determining that she had been alone and there was no one else to rescue, every fireman whipped out his cell phone and started taking pics of the car. Then they asked the driver if she would buy them lotto tickets, because she was definitely the luckiest person on the planet at the moment. I got pics somewhere. Tom
  4. Couldn't be; too close to the green...
  5. I at least got to the page; but alas, it was empty. Tom
  6. Bump for a great looking car that I still can't afford. Tom
  7. hahaha, love "Reason No. 96" on page 13. Tom
  8. For every American that designs, builds, manufactures or replaces a product with American labor or resources, there are 10 Americans who will try and get that same product made by someone else, in a location that pays less wages, has fewer laws to adhere to and fewer hoops to jump through than we have here. It's easier to earn money off of third world ( or second world for that matter) countries than it is to earn it off of 1st world countries. Americans are above all else, NOT nationalistic. Unfortunately. Tom
  9. I would look at it just like any other vehicle bought from FleaBay or Craigslist, with a very critical eye. Unless of course you plan on re-building it anyway. And like doing that kind of thing. Tom
  10. I use the exact same procedure as Ron, only I use a lot more MMO or ATF when I'm out of Marvel. If the outside is really crusty with old dried up oil and grease and dirt, I pour the ATF or MMO on it also. Both are great at loosening up crud. MMO and ATF mixed 50/50 with acetone also makes a great penetrating oil. Works even better than PB Blaster. Tom
  11. No problem. Your car is very nice even to this Ford guy. I've always had a soft spot for the Roots style blowers on the 3.8 Chevy's and Fords. Your Stalker is immaculate. The mountains in your pics look like the mountains east of Tucson, near Wilcox, Ft Huachuca area. Tom
  12. Willing to trade for this? http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/rvs/2373787497.html Tom
  13. 14-15 inches doesn't seem like enough vacuum to me. Shouldn't it be at least 17-21? Tom
  14. Oooooo, then I could mount one to the head of a friggen shark. That'd be cool. Tom
  15. Pretty novel idea. Doesn't look like it can be sealed off from the elements very easily and the supports rods look way too thin to support that much weight that will wobble when anyone moves in there. Gotta love front wheel drive sometimes though. Kind of reminds me of the AeroMate vans of the 90's that were based on the Chrysler Minivan chassi. Tom
  16. So am I blind or is there no price on this car? Tom
  17. That is a correct statement; I read it in my 32 Ford Coffee table book. I have a 32 Tudor Sedan with the Flathead V-8 in it. It's an original, built out of spare parts by my wife's uncle in 1963. The uncle, Dick Smith is well known in the hot rodding circles and his HiBoy roadster was bought by the Henry Ford Museum and has been on display at Greenfield Village since 1987. Superformance makes a pretty cool little 33 or 34 Ford Roadster Kit Car. Tom
  18. I definitely wouldn't consider it a sports car but I would bet that the 32 Ford is the most replicated car on the planet. Tom
  19. Scott, As long as you can still actuate it when your battery dies, it should pass inspection. Tom
  20. Can Google translate Morse for us code challenged types? I think I'm missing out on some good looking girlie pics in this thread. Edit: Duh! http://www.onlineconversion.com/morse_code.htm Tom
  21. Actually, all three mediums can go around corners if done right. But alas, the girl wouldn't look any better. I think texting is a big waste of time myself and was conjured up to save on bandwidth expense to the Telcos and cell companies. But that a whole different discussion... Tom
  22. But you can use Morse over just about any medium, sound waves, electrical or lightwaves, with nothing more than a human sender and a human receiver. With the texting, you need a cellular network and cell phone, both of which are highly evolved, complex items that take millions of dollars to make and operate. However, girlie pictures don't come across quite right in Morse code. Tom
  23. I don't think it's the 10 minutes of gawking that is equal to the 30 minute workout; but rather the ensuing physical activties that looking at large breast causes. I'd like to volunteer if they plan on doing this in the States... Tom
  24. Dayum, those guys can drive. Tom
  25. And even more importantly... how long before you weigh it? Tom
