  1. By doing a google search on his email address, it looks like he is into bicycle stage racing and found this number you could try; Not needed anymore.
  2. That is absolutely amazing. Tom
  3. He must be able to reverse the pitch on the main rotor to be able to do that. They need to put a miniature "minigun" on that thing and "weaponize" that thing. Can you imagine some poor soldier trying to shoot that thing down? Tom
  4. Searching on the phone number, he has it advertised all over. Tom
  5. Well, if it only has one fuel rail, it is a "returnless" style, where the fuel pressure is regulated by the fuel pump itself, which in turn is commanded by a fuel pump management module. Sometimes this module is part of the engine computer, sometimes it is a separate module. Regardless of the type of pump you have or will have, the required pressure is dictated by the injectors and the computer that pulses them. My guess is that at a minimum you would need 55 psi to spray appropriately. Tom
  6. Dayum! Today's drivers seem to have it so much easier. Tom
  7. I see a Subaru in your future. Tom
  8. I've looked at those pics for nearly an hour now and for the life of me, I don't see a "Start" switch, or even a CD player. Meh, I'll wait for next year's model. Tom
  9. And only three "C's", not 4. Tom
  10. Aerospace Engineers get to figure out devious new ways to destroy trains. Tom ( Father of an Aerospace Engineer and one guy who will never ever ride a train )
  11. Not offended but the wife's uncle and grandfather, both raised and worked on a farm, and did some of the nicest welding (with only oxy-acetylene no less) I have ever seen. They thought I was cheating when I got my first wire feed welder. Tom
  12. Wow, I hope no one thinks that's how it really goes together, rods and pistons on crank first and then insert them into block from bottom. They need a disclaimer on that simulation. Tom
  13. A lot of today's stock heat shields are made of two layers of thin steel sandwiching a non heat conducting layer of fiberglass looking material. All three layers are extremely thin, so you may be able to search the junk yards for something that will fit. Tom
  14. I'm assuming it is a roots style blower, probably an M-62 size given the 2 liter displacement. After having an M-90 Eaton on my buggy's 3.2 L Yamaha, I can honestly say that ought to be an absolute hoot to drive. Tom
  15. No matter what laws you pass, only law abiding citizens will obey them. The wackos will not and they will continue to hunt for fame and notiriety at places where they know they won't be challenged; at least by anything more harsh than, "hey, you can't do that here!" If only it wasn't against the law to defend yourself at these places. That guy that started shooting up the mall in Oregon, how come he did not kill so many more? Tom
  16. Everybody sells cheap Chinese crap to one level or another; Home Depot, Sears. They have to because most Americans only purchase the lowest cost tool. In that way they can tell themselves and others, they have one. Doesn't matter that it won't last, they still have one and they feel better about themselves. Pride in ownership of a nice well built tool has been replaced by desire to just have. Horror Fraught is just the place that sells ALL the cheap Chinese crap. Nowadays, Taiwan and Japan are where the nice tools are made in the Pacific Rim area, but they do not make consumer tools, they have left that to the Chinese. Tom
  17. Wayne, Luckily, you are in the Phoenix area that has many fabricators for the sand car and offroad community. I know several myself and there are two near you. One is Tatum Motorsports at Olive and 79th Ave, and the other is Olive and Loop 101. Both of those shops have metal workers (panel beaters to you body shop guys) that could take apart, investigate and repair just about any accident damaged car. I also know Rob Wessel and Dean Simion in Desert Hills; they have a complete metal working shop ( 6000 square feet plus a complete dyno room) including benders, brakes, tig, mig, and shears. Rob would be my first choice but he is so busy it might take a while. I think it is very important that whomever will do the re-build, also does the removal of the damaged pieces. In that way he can see what moves as bits and pieces are removed. I'd like to at least come over and take a look at it before you send it anywhere. Tom
  18. Wayne, Where in AZ are you? Tom in Cave Creek
  19. But not near as much fun to watch. I swear on one of those hits I saw the bridge move. Tom
  20. I wonder what type of supercharger they will use? Centrifugal or Positive Displacement? Tom
  21. It looks like everyone was "prayin" that it would work as designed.
  22. Wow, what a nice shop. That has got to be the nicest compressor you got there. Is that a drying unit too? Tom
  23. The Elan or the Miata? Is that a Roots style blower on the Miata? If so, I wonder what the torque curve looks like. I don't really use total HP in my driving, but the area under the torque curve is what I want to see. If it came into some nice torque at around 2200 and didn't drop off till 7,000, that would make for some nice driving at long tracks; not as much shifting. Tom
  24. They're using a centrifugal blower in this application so you are not going to get that high shrill whine that the Roots style blowers produce. Didn't someone, maybe even Mazda produce an Eaton blown Miata? Time for Google... Tom
  25. I totally had the wrong idea of what that video was going to be about. But it was still heart warming. Tom
