  2. Yes its the anti sway bar
  3. I have noticed on a lot of Sevens that they dont have a front torsion bar setup it seems very common on the Caterhams not too have this yet all the Birkins seem to have one, what reason would Caterham not have a torsion bar as I thought they helped out making the car stiffer, any reason not too have one.
  4. All ways a good idea to get out of debt Dennis, that way you can get back into it with a Seven. BTW welcome aboard

  6. The second linked helped, cheers

  10. Since owning the car in January I just hit 5000 KM on Sunday ( 3106 miles). Winters on us now so that will slow me down untill about September.
  11. Good luck with the sale and finding a nice Seven type car, looking forward to seeing what you end up with.
  12. My Birkin S3 has a 1600x flow in it and maybe if im lucky 125hp at the wheel, my other car is a 280hp Subaru WRX while its fun to drive and it really does get up and go its still no where near as much fun as my Birkin. My mate has a Leitch Super Sprint 7 (NZ made 7 also sold in the US) that had a 1600 xflow in it but for him it was all about power so he removed the engine and fitted a nissan SD20DE motor in it from a drift car that was worked to 300hp plus but now the poor guy looks like a nervous wreck evey time we go some where for a drive and stop for a break as he has too much power and doesnt lik controlling it.
  13. Cheers for the pictures West7se
  14. Welcome along West7se you will find these guys most welcoming to overseas seven owners as I have found. Nice looking car any chance of some close up shots of your engine bay as I have a 1600xflow and im in the process of tidying that area up and its all ways good to see others for ideas and were to place pipes and other bits.
  15. Cheers Ian7 it was the breather it had just come lose from its tie down point.
  16. I have just put Toyo TR1's on my Birkin what sort of tyre pressure's are you guys running in yours for normal road use. Cheers Kiwibirkin
  17. Hi all I had my car on axel stands today while I was changing my tyres, I was haveing a look in the engine bay under the car and have discoverd a pipe leading to no where with a 90 deg bend on it, I cant see any pipes it has come off and im stumped. I have traced it back to other parts of the car and have taken photos of the part of the system it belongs too. Ok the first picture is part of the system this pipe is connected too, the black pipe connects too a steel pipe running the length of my transmission tunnel and is under the main fuel line pipe, it connect to a T connector (red) with the clear upward pipe heading to a ali tank seen in the next picture, the thru part of the T heads off to the pipe with no connection and I would like to know about this pipe and what it should be connected too. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu326/Hotdognz/bits%20and%20pieces/whatsthis5.jpg So this is the small ali tank that the clear pipe from the T runs into, then there is another clear pipe on top of the ali tank that runs off to the top of the rocker cover, the black pipe of the ali tank runs into a T and a clear pipe branches of that and up into the rocker cover by the R in Birkin the other part of that black pipe runs into the engine just behind the fuel pump. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu326/Hotdognz/bits%20and%20pieces/whatsthis2.jpg http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu326/Hotdognz/bits%20and%20pieces/whatsthis3.jpg This is the pipe that goes to no where and i cant see any connector for it and its sitis under the webbers and isnt very long. its blowing air out when the engine is running. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu326/Hotdognz/bits%20and%20pieces/whatsthis.jpg I havent done any thing to my engine since I got the car, I havent pulled any pipes of any thing and the car starts up and runs fine. Anyone know what it is and where it should go ?? __________________ KiwiBirkin
  18. Well you know who to get hold off if you come back for a visit, mind you if anyone from the USA7s forums plans a vist to NZ make sure you tell me first, ill see you right
  19. I was busy making a Youtube video from the footage Scannon when I had a hard drive fail on me and lost the footage, im hopeing if my wheels are painted by the end of the week to get out again with the bullet cam up to the Southern Alps as we have just had a massive dump of snow here 4 weeks earlier than normal and I should be able to get some good footage up there,
  20. I took my car out for a spin the other day with my bullet cam strapped to the roll bar on the way back from a nice drive around the hills above Christchurch city, my wife wanted some thing from one of the malls we pulled in and we went shopping for about 1 hour, on our return I noticed I had forgot the camera was attached and it was still running when we got home i download the file and started to watch it when it got to the mall part over that 1 hour 7 people jumped into my car and had there picture taken by a mate all while I wasn't there the bullet can caught them . I wasnt pissed off as they all took there time to enter the car and looked to be most carefull in getting in and out. My wife has even had to come up to speed on what the car is and what its running as she often gets asked at petrol stations when i'm paying the bill, the other day I came out of a petrol station and she had even taken the hood off and was given a guy a guided tour of the engine bay and the worked we had done to the car since having it.
  21. A member here would more than likley let you sit in a car if he is close to you they have done this before for people who asked the same Qs as you, I would offer but im in New Zealand and have a Birkin S3 (another option).
  22. Just added me
  23. Cheers Soareyes did you buy them from the UK or did you source them in the US.
  24. I own a Birkin S3 I have heard the Caterham half doors fit is this correct. Cheers
  25. Im able to go for about 4-5 hours possibly even longer, but then I have changed my seats in my Birkin S3 to a more comfy design for this reason as I want to use the car to do some touring of new Zealand, you can see the changes under the members rides section.
