  1. Update 3 Atlanta Motorsports Park has proposed a trackday that will provide a better experience than I would be able to put together with a track day rental. We will get to be treated like members and they have promised we will have a great time! The good news is that we will have an instructor a our disposal for the day and more track time that we can use! They would like us to limit it to 12 people to fit in with their members, so start signing up by return email to me! Also, Vince Eugenio from Kennesaw, GA is going to be joining us for some of the Ambush in his SuperStalker. Paul Whittle Cell: 678-772-3847 {This is a new track designed by the guy that has designed most of the newest Formula 1 tracks. We were chauffeured around this track last year at Ambush before it was finished. Wow! Huge grade changes of over 100 ft. Awesome track. This promises be a great new experience. Gale} Update 2 John and Denise Meyers, Gale and Lana Newlin, and Bob and Jeanne Berube, and Phil and Patty Anderson (Caterham) are registered at Sugar Mill Creek. Robert Hoff has also expressed interest after a few years away from the Ambush. Glen and Scott Minehart are trying to bring up an M-Spec. I know that many of us are very interested to see the updates and improvements they have incorporated in it. I see that Bob Berube has M-Spec #002 in his signature. We may even have more than one M-Spec here! We hope to have some WMC Ultralite's here again with Loren Edwards, Scott Staewen, Shannon McVey, and possibly Kevin Bolton coming along. The more the merrier! Based on the numbers of confirmed attendees, the day at Atlanta Motorsports Park will likely be a half day at the track rather than a full day. Unfortunately I am not able to devote a lot of time to this part of the Ambush due to work and home commitments. One night we will cook out at the campground and get some live music to play here. I have some restaurants lined up for the other nights. See the agenda at the end of this email for some of the places. Barb and I went to Sautee Trail Cafe for breakfast this morning. Yum! That will be on the agenda too for a breakfast or a lunch one day! Rita and Melissa still have plenty of space for the week, but if you want to extend your stay on the tail end of the Ambush, make sure you book it in advance as the spots will be filling up for the Labor day weekend to follow the Ambush. Bobby and Jinger at North 40 Cabins still have some rooms available too!
  2. Yes but the new cheap wirelss printers make the cables unnessary. If you have a wireless router you can print to that printer from any windows 7 computer in range that has the software loaded. Very cool. Gale
  3. Brent Sounds like a fun trip. And you'r pulling a trailer that corners great. Have a great trip! Gale

I expect to do a combined day with friends from SCCA and NASA and to break it into three run groups alternating 30 minute sessions. That should provide for about 2 hours of track time each. Expected cost is $250 per car. > > DInner: TBD > > > Thursday - Determined by popular vote > > > Fees > > None, except for Atlanta Motorsports Park fees > > > Weather > > There will be weather every day. 5. Loren are you putting it in the black beauty? I will have my new car done and will b at Ambush also. This is going to b a fun time. Phil is bringing his Caterham, and John Meyers with his v8 Super Stalker. This is the most fun ....you can have in a car if you like driveing fast on amazing roads. War Woman road...is The Dragon with no cops. Jeez the Smokeys are best. Can hardly wait. Gale
  6. Wow...love it!!!
  7. Terry How fast is it .......any comparisons.
  8. Tom I hope this does not offend, but it sounds you are a guy that would seriously enjoy a Stalker.
  9. Going around corners is fun and the reason most of us have these little cars is the way they handle in a curve but why not extend the enjoyment to the straight bits as well or does sanity kick in. For me the fun of driving these things is learning to keep the car on the edge of traction at every point on the track, that includes breaking, cornering and if you have enough power the straight also. Approaching a corner at 170 mph like John does with his Stalker at VIR is not every ones cup of tea, But just driving a car like that on the back roads with a power to weight ratio of 1 to 3.3 is very exhilarating. Maybe what we are talking about here is owning a car that is balanced to your personal needs and skill level. If you have that you have the perfect car.
  10. Scannon You are right! For me, I love having enough power to keep the car on the edge of traction while exiting a corner and blasting down the straight. Being the fastest car in the pack ....you don't have to watch your rear view so closely to see who is about to eat your lunch.
  11. WTF SOMBODY END THIS ABSURD DISCUSSION Gale
  12. Hey man, you need to put somthin on your neck its really really red. Gale
  13. A Stalker is definitely NOT a momentum car at 3.09 lb./HP For street i have R888 305/19 rear and 245/18 0n the front.. I widened the stock rear fenders an inch or two and put them on the front. They are a perfect fit for the 245/18s. To fit 12" wide 19" ZO6 wheels on the back required building a whole new set of fenders and 4 1/4" Al. spacers just for street use. One S-10 model has an 8" wider rear axle but haven't found one yet (at the right price). May end up widening a stock one to get rid of the spacers. I still have a set of stock fenders in case i don't like the result and want to switch back. (not likly unless it really screws the handling). For track I will use 17" wheels to improve the variety of racing tires that are available. Still don't know about the width yet...waiting for results from the factory tests. Gale
  14. I love a light nimble car . It is the best on the track or auto crossing and just a blast to drive on a blat, but in order to reach the top end speeds and acceleration of say a race prepared Zo6 or Viper in a 7??. The cost to do this in most 7s goes way up and the reliability goes way down. To not get run over when on the track with a bunch of Posche turbos and Vipers, a 550hp (almost stock Ls7) in a 1500 lb. Stalker seems like an excellent solution to me ….and mine is almost finished. I have only driven one 500 hp Stalker and I found it to b a mind altering experience. Resulting in….. of course…. I want one!! I, like Russ also would like to own a Caterham but from my obviously warped point of view the one I drove needed more H.P. Gale
  15. Terry I agree.... the Stalker moves away from most 7s... but I have grown to love the torque. Gale
  16. A Stalker is dead neutral at speed also. but with all the torque they have it is easy to throttle steer.......love it. Gale
  17. 70 degrees on Dec.31 in Mo. Got ta love global warming. Happy new year!
  18. Now that is funny!
  19. Sorry I wasn't clear, the bulbs are commonly available. I am in need of the socket. Gale
  20. I know some of you guys can find anything, Does any one know where i can buy 5 of these. This is the stock light socket in VDO guages. I have tried the manufacture but they shipped a replacement part that does not fit. This should be easy to find but have not been successful. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r280/HOTTTCAR/1956537433.jpg Thanks Gale
  21. We covered every Al panel in this car. It added 28lb. but like the last one it won't sound like a rattle trap when you hit a bump. http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=19326
  22. Here is the Berkin specific site that should help you out. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/birkinowners/
