  1. failed..... good stuff. Thanks Scott
  2. That is a good one!
  3. Love that ride! The 911 appeal took a turn for the worst after that look, IMHO. Had an '80 SC.. lost it in a flood. Sad day. I can tell you that the excitement of blasting down the road in a Se7en is a few steps above anything else I have driven. Keep looking until you find one, you won't be sorry. (except when it's pouring rain.... then maybe ;-) Scott
  4. Nice Se7en!! but won't be there. Wish there were event's closer to Fl., not a lot of spare travel time these days. Scott
  5. Beautiful! Congratulations. Scott
  6. I'm in the Tampa Bay area just north of Clearwater. If you ever get over here, you are welcome to a sit-in test. Stalkers are a bit larger that a 'book' 7. A couple friends of mine have Stalkers and fit in them fine at 6+ and 200 Lb+. Scott
  7. I think there are at least 6 of us Stalker owners in Florida! Welcome to the forum and the addiction! Scott
  8. Last night I was telling my wife about HP that is going into the Stalkers these days (ours is the 3.8 SC). She said casually, "So if I blow up this engine (she autocrosses with me), can we get one of those LS things to replace it?" I teared up just a bit..... Scott
  9. Yep! Colin did like to win races!:cooldude:
  10. Congratulations! Drooling with envy! That will be a beast. I have the 3.8 SC and can only imagine what the LS3 will be like! Scott
  11. Gotta agree with you on that! :driving: Even with the power, modern technology has made the cars very 'street friendly' as well. The original look and feel is intact for the most part, ...... but when the skinny peddle gets pushed hard, the experience is a whole new world! Bonus is dependability and modern technology. Not for everyone, but no reason to poo-poo the concept.
  12. I am in the same boat. 8.5 X 24 trailer and 8.5 mpg. I've started using a Harbor Freight trailer to tow my tires to close events if the weather is good. It can be cost effective for long trips since w have living quarters up front and can stay in the trailer instead of a hotel. I would love to get one of those Stalker type trailers.. Someday.
  13. Add me to the 'Glad you are OK' list. It is part of everyday driving in a '7' to drive defensively, but how the he** do you protect against situations like that! I do always watch the rear view when slowing quickly, and it has saved my bacon at least once. But a slow speed neighborhood turn and getting hit? Texting and driving should = huge fine. Anyway, again glad you are OK. Scott Scott
  14. Loved it! That brings back fond memories. My Dad used to play a clown a some local air shows. He would pretend to be a maint. worker mowing during the show, a Piper Cub would be parked in the way and he would go up and ask the announcer to get it moved several times.. getting madder each time, until finally just hopping in and taking off for some low, slow speed antics... good times. Scott
  15. We are in a flood zone too. In 1993 the infamous 'No Name Storm' ( http://www2.sptimes.com/weather/SW.3.html ) hit the West Central coast of Fl. and filled up three cars of ours to the steering wheel with salt water.... 911 Sc, Saab 900S and a VW GTI. Not a good morning. Now, if anything looks close to bad, the cars go to high ground!! I have used the Croc solution for raising washer and dryer, lawn mowers etc. It works well. Scott
  16. quite simply.... DAMNNNN!!! That is beautiful! Scott

    Love it!!
  18. I have been running Goodyear R160 compound tires for autox., but recently came accross a great deal on some r175 compound tires. Has anyone used both? And if so did you notice a significant difference in grip? Thanks for any input. Scott
  19. It is a bike engine powered rocket!http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/LaGrand.jpg
  20. Ouch! Oh the things I will do for a free re-run! BTW, it was the first time the guy in the LaGrand had driven it... and he took FTD on his 4th run... The fith didn't work out so well for him. Hope it's not too much $$! He is a natural..
  21. Well.... in the interst of full and complete disclosure, here is the un cut version of what actually went on in the cockpit....
  22. I don't know how far exactly, but it slid a good long way. I am glad it was a clear area as well! There is a good amount of run off area all around the runway. There sure was a lot of grass to vacume out when I got home. Scott
  23. A buddie running his LaGrand unfortunately blew his engine and dumped a bucha oil.... Not good for the Se7en following him! Sure wish the course workers had noticed the oil! [/url]
