  1. By the look of the supports, I am guessing it just may be.
  2. Now this is a good idea! Drive up and spit your toy out! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/Transportvan3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/transportvan4.jpg
  3. Very nice!
  4. I like this one! Like I stated previously, it may not be everyones cup of tea. but an LS7 sounds like fun to me. There is nothing wrong with staying within the zone you are comfortable with. I haven't seen a se7en that I wouldn't want to drive. I also have a Solo Vee, and it is pretty much a momentum racer.. still a blast to drive.
  5. A significant ability to overcome the areodynamic limitations of the brick we drive around!
  6. C'mon... you sound like you are just a bit curious about what an extra 100+ ft. lbs kicking in early would feel like.. ;-) Try to get a seat in one before you condem the concept. You may find that it is a pretty good time. That's the great thing about the 7 community. There are a lot of options and a variety of approaches to powering the fun. Not a 'one size fit's all' by any stretch! Scott
  7. Sounds like fun to me! Some folks like having to run the rpms way up to get into the torque band. I like having the torque kick in at lower rpm's. 300 ft. lbs. is not too much to drive very comfortably around town. If I want to accelerate, no need for shifting if I am already at 2,000 rpm, just lean on the skinny peddle and it will accelerate hard right up to redline! Mine is only a V6 3.8 ltr. I think one of the LS1 engines would be a blast. Granted, you would spin the wheels if you just mashed the peddle, but the key here is that you don't have to. Plus, the LS1 weighs about 50 lbs less than the 3.8 V6! An F1 winds up to 18,000 rpm... probably hard to get into the torque band for around town driving... but I'd jump at the chance to try! Not everyone's cup of tea I am sure. But if you get a chance to drive one, you might be surprised at how civil it can be... or outrageous!:driving: Scott
  8. You are going to get a lot of different opinions on that question! Each brand has it's own set of fans. The all weather situation would lean you towards a S7 that has an option of weather gear or a creative solution. I can speak only for the Stalker. I drive mine around town quite often as well as run many autocrosses. The 3.8 supercharged engine has great manners and with it developing close to 300 ft. lbs of torque at around 2500 rpms, I never need to push the engine hard, even at an autocross. It is a low maint. machine. The Stalkers do very well on the track and hold a few records (see their site). The factory support is terrific too. Your best bet is to find a few different types and see how you fit and get an up close impression. All the ones you mention will be a blast. Non of them will have the creature comforts of your Vette, but all will leave a grin on your face. Scott
  9. Take a look at this link &scroll down: http://www.bruntonauto.com/turnkey/turnkey.htm I think the basic kit starts at $9,995, with you sourcing the engine, trans. guages wheels etc....
  10. In that price range, a SuperStalker might fit. http://www.bruntonauto.com/ Edit: no factory weather kit... But there are some creative owners that have designed tops.
  11. I am not sure of the total number built to date, 150 + I think. Well designed, dependable and built with easy to find / afford parts. Here's a link to their site: http://www.bruntonauto.com/ We have really enjoyed ours.:driving: Scott
  12. The original Locost!:hurray: Scott
  13. You might want to include Brunton Stalker on your list if you are looking for room for those size 12's. Plenty fast and a bit of room. Good luck in your search! Scott
  14. Love it! Does that cord going throught the window plug into the cigarette lighter?
  15. Those brooklands look great! Scott
  16. Dog Pack Attacks Gator In Florida At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty. The alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the "apex predator", can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and "survival of the pack mentality" bred into the canines. See the remarkable photograph below courtesy of Nature Magazine. Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator. Not for the squeamish http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/gatorattack.jpg :leaving:
  17. Looking at the pictures, I am very glad they both survived. I bet most of that will buff right out..
  18. that's great price for that trailer... wish you were closer, and it was in the budget! Scott
  19. I agree Jack. I have seen and driven the car, it is a very nice build. Someone is going to get a real nice (and fast) ride! Scott
  20. A friend of mine is selling his Super Stalker. It has a 3.8 ltr. supercharged V6 and is one very nice / fast machine. 100% street legal! It comes with a custom drive on trailer that is designed to fit in a garage so you can park the Stalker on it and not have to store the trailer somewhere. A couple sets of wheels/tires are also included. This car has a crate engine with approx. 1,000 miles on it and has only been on the road since March, 2010. It is registered as a 1962 Brunton. If you are interested, Contact Terry at 352-726-1051. The car is located in Florida. Here's a link to the factory site: http://www.bruntonauto.com/ Scott Asking price is $27,000 for everything. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/Stalker016.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/Stalker013.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/Stalker014.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/Stalker011.jpg
