  1. I like the way you think, lancylad!
  2. We attended an Autocross last weekend in our Super Stalker, it was a pretty quick but short course. My lovely bride beat everybody and took FTD! Best thing in the world! She is all energized about it which makes convincing her that we need new tires, car toys etc. is much easier! I always did like a fast woman;)
  3. I know of an Brunton Automotive Mspec that is about to come up for sale and is located in N.E Florida. Not mine, but if you want contact info, let me know. I've driven it, it's well sorted and VERY fast!
  4. Congratulations!
  5. Be great to see some 7's join in! https://www.facebook.com/events/517724701634000/?ref=22

    New Toy

Love it! One of the beautiful cars, I had a red 1960. Really hope to have another someday. Congrats.
  7. Unique look... Kinda Whale sharkish. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/image-33.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/caterham-aeroseven-concept-leaked-images_100441045_m.jpg
  8. Wow! That's a great price!
  9. My wife owns our Brunton Super Stalker, it was my gift to her on our 25th anniversary!
  10. If the income lets your wife stay home full time, she will be able to fill is some of the gaps, but the work load on her will be increased... Not a small issue. The kids will always adjust, but when you are home your spare time will need to wrap around them more so than your hobbies. I speak from the kids eyes, my dad was an International Pilot and often gone two weeks at a time almost every month. It can work, but it wasn't easy on Mom, and Dad time was tough to come by when he first came home (stuff always broke when he was gone). Your kids are just getting to the age where a Dad's daily input can be important... Mom will wish you were around. The Dollars had really better be worth it because there is a price that ya pay.
  11. Very nice! Hope the registration goes smoothly.
  12. I own a Super Stalker Classic, but have driven the Mspec. I drove on some pretty crappy roads on my test drive and was amazed how well the car soaked up the rough stuff as well as nicely it handled. I did not get a chance to really push it hard other than a couple entrance / exit ramps onto the highway... From my limited experience, the Mspec suspension worked very well. Saving my pennies.
  13. Very nice!! What's the engine?
  14. Pictures or it didn't happen!!!! Welcome to the madness, congrats!
  15. If you are heading to St. Pete and want to make a slight detour, I would be happy to show off our SuperStalker. We love just north of Clearwater. Scott
  16. Beautiful car!
  17. Looks like a great time! Neat course, how'd you do? I get to play next weekend at an Airport course in Brooksville, FL next weekend.
  18. Hey Stevengines, Thanks! You can pick up used or take-off golf cart tops from any golf cart shop that does customizing, only around $40 - $50 in our area.
  19. I did add a top / sunroof to our stalker, it really makes a nice difference for road trips as far as reducing buffeting and getting out of the sun, and we can carry on a conversation at highway speeds. It mounts or removes in about a minute. Not for everyone, but works for us! I am just under 6' and around 190 lbs., with room to expand.... Width wise, I think my height potential has already been passed. Hope it's OK to post a link, remove and my apologies if not. http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=14472
  20. Very well said, West Texas s2k.
  21. A Seven as an only vehicle would be a challenge for us, but we don't have a robust public transit system in our area. Even so, our Stalker gets driven a few times a week mostly just for fun. It does have a bit more room than some of the other 7esc options out there, and I can say that maintenance has been close to zero. I did replace the rear brake cylinders a couple years ago... cost under $10 per side. We run a lot of Autocross events which does tend to increase our tire cost! Sit in a few different types, look at performance and cost of ownership, then pick one you like and have a blast! Scott
  22. Love it!
  23. Beautiful car! And you have the fastest color too!
  24. We have a Brunton Super Stalker, I have never tracked it, but done a good number of Autocross events (taking FTD a good number of times.. as long as a well driven LeGrand Dragon doesn't show up!) I can speak about the street friendliness of it. it is a very easy car to drive around town, and only becomes a beast when you want it to. The best part is the cheap easy availability of parts, NAPA or any chain parts store has just about anything you need. I just replaced rear brake cylinders for aroun $9.00 each With a more than ample amount of torque is available from 2500 rpm up, there is no reason to have to push the engine hard. Just make sure you have a little spare time where ever you go, you get a lot of questions from other folks wherever you stop. I fashioned a removable hard top for relief from the Florida sun, but I only use it when we take longer trips or heading to an Autocross. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/Gainesville2010.jpg with the Munster Mobile top http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/image-2.jpg Pop top http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/image-5.jpg
