We have a Brunton Super Stalker, I have never tracked it, but done a good number of Autocross events (taking FTD a good number of times.. as long as a well driven LeGrand Dragon doesn't show up!) I can speak about the street friendliness of it. it is a very easy car to drive around town, and only becomes a beast when you want it to.
The best part is the cheap easy availability of parts, NAPA or any chain parts store has just about anything you need. I just replaced rear brake cylinders for aroun $9.00 each With a more than ample amount of torque is available from 2500 rpm up, there is no reason to have to push the engine hard. Just make sure you have a little spare time where ever you go, you get a lot of questions from other folks wherever you stop. I fashioned a removable hard top for relief from the Florida sun, but I only use it when we take longer trips or heading to an Autocross.
