Superformance S-1 skips a beat...
sevenup replied to Off Road SHO's topic in General Sevens Discussion
For what it is worth, I drove a black S-1 in Columbus, Ohio a few years ago and there was a very slight periodic problem with engine response..as I recall, the seller had invested heavily in a new (different?) engine management system to try to overcome this issue but was not totally succesful....not sure this is relevant..just thought I would throw it out there -
Was that engine the Buick aluminum V8 (commonly referred to as the 215) If it was there was one posted on ebay a year or so ago...

Slightly off topic....we will be having our British V8 meet in Lewisburg, WV.....June 7-10. We are spurious bastards who dare to put V6/V8's into little British sports cars...probably around 75 cars in attendance... -
That is a beautiful car!

Mknelsonmd, great pictures! WV is a hidden treasure of sports car roads....where were these taken? Beckly? Lewisburg? -
Ah the sound...like a symphony....

Echoing incohate, if you sign up with them they send you an email almost everyday with a new design..the "simplify and add lightness" shirt has been offered many times over the years. I am certain the "magnificent 7" will return a lot too...

http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=12244&stc=1I put zero offset 15" VTOs on my Stalker a few years ago (thanks to Hap and Barry). With respect, I must say I was disappointed with the weight of these wheels...they weighed 1.5 lbs more than the Camaro star wheels that were previously on the car. I would image that if you purchased a +22 vto wheel instead of the zero offset the weight would be reduced. The way vto achieves the zero offset is to add a large amount of metal to the back of the hub as opposed to slanting the spokes inward. Now having dumped this negative comment I will say that the wheels work perfectly fine on the Stalker with no adverse handling and they look amazing. Full disclosure, I am not a racer and just an old guy who drives country roads.

Scott, yes they stay on...I think you could make a case for "the faster you go the better they adhere".....these chaps are held in place with a small bracket with two pegs on the lower inside part of the fender...then simply attach to the bracket at the top with velcro...the pegs in the bottom go through two grommets in the chaps...as I say...on and off in secondshttp://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=12049&stc=1 -

Full disclosure here yellowss, I am probably the only one on this forum who does not race...autocross...etc...in my mid seventies and simply do not have the skills anymore...the last time I autox was four years ago in Texas with my v eight mgbgt sebring...hell, the cones were so confusing to me I was a dnf at best....having said that, I do drive the living crap out of my stalker on the local back country roads here in sw Ohio...so, just bear with me on this.. cheers -

Right Jay...I had no idea if it would even work when I made these up...simply "cotton backed vinyl" from JoAnn fabrics...I have a green, tan and black set that I put on depending on my color coordination mood...chuckle....if I go to a car show or whatever I simply take them off while the car is sitting and then put them back on before I leave...as I say it litteraly takes only a few seconds...the backed vinyl absorbs any pebbles without any dents/blemishes... -

Our T shirt is back on Blipshift
sevenup replied to panamericano's topic in General Sevens Discussion
I think I was incorrect...they are available at the bottom of the most recent page, but only the fitted T and the heavier duty T in short sleeve....the long sleeve T and the hooded sweatshirt are not available!!?? -

I don't think that shirt is available at this time....It was available a few weeks ago and I was able to purchase a couple of them... -
I got my "O"-s confused...was refering to the Optima batteries...I revised my previous posting to reflect that...sorry
-
I use the battery tender .75 amp on my stalker and modified british hotrods...they have perfromed flawlessly. Same thing with the Optima battery...once they start to go, there is no bringing them back...then you get to go spend $200 plus on a new one and an additionall amount for the anchor bracket which seems to change quite often..

Looking good Jack!
