  1. Correction made. :jester: . . . . . .
  2. Considering solar panels. Anyone installed/have solar panels on there trailer? Recommendations? Options? Manufacturers? Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera . . . .
  3. No serious trauma to the body is very positive for the sport. Well seasoned, veteran riders assured.
  4. Remembering back to 2010, I think I paid $7K for a Quaife six speed sequential. The Caterham pricing reads more like aviation industry standards. A couple of years ago, we replaced a simple thermos style coffe pot on one if our Falcon aircraft; a bargain at $700.00. I'm a bit more careful with the coffee pots these days.
  5. Is the paint ball zone the same as the passing zone and do the same 'point by' rules apply? I'm into fluorescent colors.
  6. You're ALL crazy!!! :willy_nilly: I never mentioned a Walmart parking lot, thank you very much :toetap05: . . . but now that you mention it. On a serious note, ditto on 'no car cover'; NOT good for the paint. However, I do like the shrink wrap sugestion. Klasik-69, on the way up, I'll stop by Wally World and grab a couple of shopping carts . . . . just in case you change your mind. :smilielol5: Looking forward to meeting/seeing/hanging out with/driving with all you 'other' crazy Seveners. Cheers!
  7. The bottom of the fuse block looks as though it may already be resting on/against the edge of the bracket itself and providing some additional support and protection against vibration. However, :iagree: large diameter flat washers placed above and beneath each mounting ear :bigear: may help spread the load.
  8. Man, I've aged.
  9. Dan, The build is looking fantastic. Don't make any apologies for detail, or for individuality produced on a lathe. Detail and individuality is what makes the car yours. If I had a lathe, a mill and could tig weld, every bracket, whatnot, doodad and thingamajig on my Stalker would be billet and/or have welded seams that would rival anything in the aviation industry. Remember what they say (whoever 'they' are ), it's the little things in life that count.
  10. The font may be a clean-slate design.
  11. Seriously? That's the best excuse you have? Everybody is ready for a peee after 80 miles. At the very least, a good stretch and much-needed scratching of the ol' arse. :smilielol5: . . . . .
  12. Just under 8 gal/hr on track. Highway . . . . ???
  13. Klasik-69, In 1997, I bought a new Jeep Wrangler. Literally, the very first thing I did after driving it off the lot was take it straight to the woods and deliberately put a scratch down the side. Afterward, I stopped, got out, looked at the scratch, then looked at my wife and said, "There, now I don't have to worry about that." :hurray: I had great off-road fun with that Jeep till the day I sold it, and it was my daily driver as well. What I'm saying is this; one day, someone will shovel dirt in our faces and someone else will take our pride and joy for a 'joy ride'. Life is short, enjoy your car, new paint and all. In July, drive the car with recklessness abandon (safely, of course ) . . . . . Just make sure and stay on the opposite side of the track when Kitcat and Yellowss7 are slinging sh . . . ah . . . dirt at each other and your paint will be fine. Now, honestly, tell me you didn't have a smile on your face when you were sandblasting your Z06 at 175. :jester: . . . .
  14. MightyMike, Your photos didn't show up earlier for me in the post; hence the reason for my posting your link. Gunship, Glad that'll work.
  15. You might be able to do a match with Dorman: http://www.dormanproducts.com/catalog/hardware2006/127-130_Sec8_Part1.pdf Replacing the plug is no hi-tech event. Pretty straight forward. I've replaced them using hard wooden (oak) dowels, steel bars, sockets, etc. be sure and use sealant. Here's an example: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FCAo250tF44
  16. Stating that I'm all about shopping at NAPA is simply another way if saying that every part of my car (basic kit included) was sourced from the lower 48 and ALL parts are easily accessible; no having to cross the pond for parts/spares, no concerns about service/support after the sale and definitely no concerns about parts availability. Personally, I don't find that to have anything to do with duct tape and bailing wire, so perhaps I'm missing your point. And when you say "compared to the rest of the market", to what 'rest of the market' are you referring? Afterall, you did say apples and oranges, right? Having said all that, I do like the Zenos and wish you well in the American market.
  17. Great looking mirror, Mike. A link to a photo of MightMike's mid-mounted micro-mirror madness :jester: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=23453 :smash: . . . . .
  18. Ditto, same experience . . . . . . :iagree:
  19. randychase, Three years ago a fellow I knew in the L.A. area sent me these photos. He told me he was going to be importing this car (car in photos) to the U.S. I don't know anything about the car except that it was based on the use of a Duratec engine. I've since lost touch with this fellow and don't know if his plan ever worked out. My question is; is the car in the photos related to the Zenos (forerunner)? BTW, love the Zenos, but I'm all about shopping at NAPA when I can; that's the southern redneck in me speaking out.
  20. Used this with success on my Birkin. However, with the Ultralight cowl/hood being one unit, you may run into vibration issues (I truly don't know). An option would be to come up with an L-bracket of sorts that mounts directly to the dash and the mirror base mounted to the bracket: https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=11174
  21. Not saying I told ya so . . . . . but . . . . :jester:
  22. Found the Pistonheads link: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=30&t=1207727&i=40&mid=0&nmt=Road+Runner+SR2+build+
  23. I ran across the photo somewhere on Pistonheads. I did a bit of research and believe the car to be a Roadrunner Racing Ltd SR2: http://www.roadrunnerracing.net/index.php/the-sr2
  24. That's a very good question, and one I've never bothered to ask. But, having said that, I'm fairly certain those aren't Brunton chassis.
