  1. The font may be a clean-slate design.
  2. Seriously? That's the best excuse you have? Everybody is ready for a peee after 80 miles. At the very least, a good stretch and much-needed scratching of the ol' arse. :smilielol5: . . . . .
  3. Just under 8 gal/hr on track. Highway . . . . ???
  4. Klasik-69, In 1997, I bought a new Jeep Wrangler. Literally, the very first thing I did after driving it off the lot was take it straight to the woods and deliberately put a scratch down the side. Afterward, I stopped, got out, looked at the scratch, then looked at my wife and said, "There, now I don't have to worry about that." :hurray: I had great off-road fun with that Jeep till the day I sold it, and it was my daily driver as well. What I'm saying is this; one day, someone will shovel dirt in our faces and someone else will take our pride and joy for a 'joy ride'. Life is short, enjoy your car, new paint and all. In July, drive the car with recklessness abandon (safely, of course ) . . . . . Just make sure and stay on the opposite side of the track when Kitcat and Yellowss7 are slinging sh . . . ah . . . dirt at each other and your paint will be fine. Now, honestly, tell me you didn't have a smile on your face when you were sandblasting your Z06 at 175. :jester: . . . .
  5. MightyMike, Your photos didn't show up earlier for me in the post; hence the reason for my posting your link. Gunship, Glad that'll work.
  6. You might be able to do a match with Dorman: http://www.dormanproducts.com/catalog/hardware2006/127-130_Sec8_Part1.pdf Replacing the plug is no hi-tech event. Pretty straight forward. I've replaced them using hard wooden (oak) dowels, steel bars, sockets, etc. be sure and use sealant. Here's an example: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FCAo250tF44
  7. Stating that I'm all about shopping at NAPA is simply another way if saying that every part of my car (basic kit included) was sourced from the lower 48 and ALL parts are easily accessible; no having to cross the pond for parts/spares, no concerns about service/support after the sale and definitely no concerns about parts availability. Personally, I don't find that to have anything to do with duct tape and bailing wire, so perhaps I'm missing your point. And when you say "compared to the rest of the market", to what 'rest of the market' are you referring? Afterall, you did say apples and oranges, right? Having said all that, I do like the Zenos and wish you well in the American market.
  8. Great looking mirror, Mike. A link to a photo of MightMike's mid-mounted micro-mirror madness :jester: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=23453 :smash: . . . . .
  9. Ditto, same experience . . . . . . :iagree:
  10. randychase, Three years ago a fellow I knew in the L.A. area sent me these photos. He told me he was going to be importing this car (car in photos) to the U.S. I don't know anything about the car except that it was based on the use of a Duratec engine. I've since lost touch with this fellow and don't know if his plan ever worked out. My question is; is the car in the photos related to the Zenos (forerunner)? BTW, love the Zenos, but I'm all about shopping at NAPA when I can; that's the southern redneck in me speaking out.
  11. Used this with success on my Birkin. However, with the Ultralight cowl/hood being one unit, you may run into vibration issues (I truly don't know). An option would be to come up with an L-bracket of sorts that mounts directly to the dash and the mirror base mounted to the bracket: https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=11174
  12. Not saying I told ya so . . . . . but . . . . :jester:
  13. Found the Pistonheads link: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=30&t=1207727&i=40&mid=0&nmt=Road+Runner+SR2+build+
  14. I ran across the photo somewhere on Pistonheads. I did a bit of research and believe the car to be a Roadrunner Racing Ltd SR2: http://www.roadrunnerracing.net/index.php/the-sr2
  15. That's a very good question, and one I've never bothered to ask. But, having said that, I'm fairly certain those aren't Brunton chassis.
  16. Not a Brunton; RHD and pic is from the UK. ????
  17. I suppose the virus is now pandemic. :smash: . . . . . :Chevy_anim:
  18. Tom's headlights really aren't 'that' big. It's just that his car really is 'that' small. As for raising the mirror, it's sorta like the bald guy wearing a toupee; he isn't truly bald, he's simply too tall for his hair and must adapt to his environment. :conehead: :jester:
  19. Stocking up . . . . . :lurk::lurk::lurk: . . . . :jester:
  20. MichaelD, The concern is with the stock pump coming apart above 7400 rpm vs. the billet pump which will survive the high rpm environment. No pump, no oil pressure.
  21. I think I saw grass growing during that first pit stop.
  22. Okay, I think my attempted humor may have overstepped some bounds and raised a concern or two. When I said "the 'new guys'" I meant 'us new guys' (yep, that's me in the mix). Let me reassure all that I'm ALL about safety and having a good time on and off track. Period. If there is a No Ego award, I'll win. Having said that, I refuse to wear a dress (well, maybe. . . If there's good money in it). And my feelings are beginning to get a little hurt as there has been no mention of providing confetti for the parade lap. I'll bring my own tow rope.
  23. Okay, now that you guys have this follow-the-leader thing worked out for 'WE NEW GUYS', us Storker drivers are requesting a privately escorted convoy complete with flashing lights, sirens, confetti and a beauty queen doing the closed-fingered wave. So, the question is, who's going to volunteer to be the beauty queen?
  24. Dan, Be careful standing on piles of disgarded wiring. A fellow car building friend of mine did that once and was sucked head-first into an electrical vortex and not seen again for six months.
