  1. Nice pics ! Yes they grow up fast! And are so different in temperment .. My daughter takes piano lessons .. but hates to practice and fusses about it even though she has been taking lessons since 1st grade. She is a little more motivated about soccer now because she didn't make the team one year ago. And she and her friends have stuck with Girl Scouts because they are such good friends since the beginning of elementary school. BTW: I had a birthday recently and my daughter gave me a card which consists of her own art work .. the two of us in the Seven and both saying "woo hoo!" She's at summer camp this week .. so I've been typing email and sending her letters. (The camp prints out email to campers.) Lots of jokes like .. NY: Boy with cancer bankrupts the Make-A-Wish Foundation by wishing for unlimited wishes! Rob
  2. I remember shooting test tubes off the wall air line in chem lab ... fun watching them shoot across the lab and shattering against the wall. Only did it three times ... That has to be a shrunken plastic quarter after applying heat ... like those found in the kiddy coin registers at Toys-R-Us .. Rob

  4. I hope you find the right ones for your hub! Good luck! I replaced the studs in my rear drums to longer ones .. My rear end is Toyota Corolla and I found some longer ones on a Toyota Pickup in the junkyard. Very tight! Rob
  5. I smell a hoax ... Rob
  6. Congratulations! I remember the feeling when my daughter's soccer team went undefeated and won the state championship when she was in 5th grade. Funny .. kids get all kinds of participation trophys these days .. but she has only one championship trophy! She still plays team soccer .. now to be in the 10th grade this fall. Rob

  18. excuse me .. but how did this thread get 55,600 views on seven pages .. and the Introduce yourself thead has 43 pages and only 13,500 views ??????????? Rob
  19. I think I will have to sit in a car that has the mirror for seven to truely see if it would work for me ... for now I continue to use the two Muth Signal Mirrors that work as brakelights too! And I have a pretty wide, generic, rearview tilt glare mirror mounted on the glass and bent up at the height of the tip of the windshield for max ahead viewing. Rob

Tornadoes and Hail? Scary in a Seven! Today I met another Sevener from Augusta .. who owns a range of Lotus cars .. Mike came by the shop to admire the Rotus .. which he described as a size bigger than his RH drive Caterham from the seventies. He has a classic license lettering on the front of his car KAR120C! (I used to have KAR120C on the front of my Celica until a deer bit it off in a road hap.) Hopefully Mike will join the forum and post pics of all his cars! Rob

  22. I had a great time at Barber with the Sportscars in the park. Met alot of nice people .. although one guy thought I had mistyped Rotus. Rob
  23. At Barber we saw Mr. Barber's plain vanilla '80s Impala with a sleeper race engine in it .. that would blow away all the locals at the stoplights. Rob
  24. Everytime I see that commercial I think about .. And as you know .. the lunar rover had wire tires (air tires would not work .. too much launch weight and possibly fail in a vacuum) .. On the other hand the prelaunch practice rover at NASA had air tires. And the life support packs are too small! Although the Apollo astronauts had fun .. they were carrying a 360 pound life support pack = 60 pounds on the Moon. The same Lunar life support pack on Mars will be heavier .. 137 pounds. You cannot get much work done with the weight of a wife or girlfriend on your back. Can NASA drop the weight much to make a MARS eva reasonably feasible? Rob
