I'm sorry to hear that your GF and others have bad experiences in ERs .. I too get angry when I see nurses and doctors laughing and telling jokes while patients are waiting to be seen and for their needs to be addressed. I frequently go to the waiting room to introduce myself and apologize to those who are waiting .. They have no idea how many ambulances are arriving at the back door. And I ask staff to keep patients informed about delays. Patients often tell me that they appreciate our efforts to keep them informed about delays. And although more people are using the ER as a clinic .. we still see the emergiencies first. A bladder infection is not as critical as someone having a heart attack or a stroke, it is still an emergency. Rob ER Doc.

As an ER doc .. I'm appalled at the bedside manner story you tell! If that doc behaved like that at my ER he would not last! Tough day for you .. This past weekend I worked all nights .. no fireworks injuries and no deaths! Rob

I was not a fan of MJ .. but my wife did remind me of many of his hits .. which I could sing without having ever bought an album. I did see a few/ several of the original Charlie's Angels episodes when they aired in the '70s. When my Dad had a birthday, his friends got THE Farah poster and wallpaper pasted it to a wall in his office! They wrote on it: "Happy 40th Birthday Bob, Love 'Farah'" My Mom spent some time trying to remove it without success. Dad just covered it with a large calendar. Ed McMahon .. well everybody loved Ed.
