  1. I was trying to keep it to something that could be printed out and read at IHOP or... without offending. Beside that MoPho was kind enough to point out small Tits are lighter , so we would just end up with a new debate every few months. How big is your ....?
  2. Poll is up. Vote Now! (What an exciting post for my #100)
  3. Okay I was going to make the call, but now that the horse is showing life on this topic and this is not a dictatorship. Which of the three titles do I go with? And yes I know one of the above came after the deadline. I do have a cool graphic in mind for one of them (involving some parts I have laying around and a waterjet) And since I am a bit behind on the layout any pictures or submissions will be accepted until the poll is done Sunday.
  4. The final bump. Need you submissions for articles, events, and newsletter names by midnight today 7-7-07 (I mean 08)
  5. Yeah, looking back, amazing what happens in a year. At least Erin came to AL for a visit this weekend and she drove a 150 mile run in the Caterham yesterday. Some decent roads around here, finding am I. Now let us look forward to next year.:7fume:
  6. Keep the ideas coming, I have seen a few good ones, but remember the deadline is July 7 anything after that is well to late. This goes for the articles also. Come on guys write a paragraph about something. Remember you can post ideas her for the name, I think it is good to have the forum sort of vote here. But for articles and events please send to sparecr@supersevens.com it makes it easier on me. (Jack you are fine) John V
  7. Don't you mean "All Weak":jester:
  8. I wish I had time to find things like this. Why I don't know just wish I had the time. Also can you just call Sunbelt and say I need to rent an ..... to ......
  9. Okay it has been discussed (sort of) and we are going to attempt a newsletter. The ideas behind it are to provide a quick summary of forum happenings, give a quick report of the state of the club, a few articles, and listings of events in your area. It also will give us a place to post members only info. Yes I know you can get a lot of this by visiting the forum, but there are times when you may miss something, there a many club members that do not visit this site (I know their problem, but...) This newsletter will be bi-monthly (every-other), hopefully, and sent to your registered email in a pdf format. What I ask of the forum is to submit articles, in a final proof form. I will not edit anything other than for spelling and grammer. (I at times lack in these abilities so bear with me.) We are looking for tech articles, stories about a drive or local club event, your first exposure to a LSiS, a quip or quote. Basically anything you would like to write about, heck if you want to write a letter commenting about the club feel free. And be sure to tell us about any local events that may welcome LSiS cars. I am not going to guarentee that everything will get pubilshed right away, we are trying to keep this to 8 or so pages. Finally we are leaving the naming of the newsletter up to you. Just add you suggestion to this thread and we can see the response. The winner will get a framed picture of a Lotus Esprit, that was given to me at the Carlise event by club member Andrew7 (I really, really hope I got this right I was really busy those days and have trouble with names). Submit articles to sparecr@supersevens.com. The submission deadline is July 7. And I hope to be able to publish July 15. The only way to get this newsletter is to be a paying member, so let's get busy.
  10. eVox- No not me in the Radical Saturday, was running around in my Seven however (not on track). Finished that carb tunning I started when you there. I was the ride along in the Radical (white one, 4-cyl not the v-8, during lunch, no other cars on the track) on Friday however. All- Yeah it is the worst job in the world.
  11. I too would say look at the Stalker. Cost wise I still think it is one of the best deals out there. And Al is right they are FAST, but very drivable. Oh and the Brunton's are second to none on customer service.
  12. That not nice. I can almost see Al :banghead: On a side note at our LBC gathering Sat night, I could not bring myself to give a number to the guy with the checkbook in hand.
  13. The NASA event at Barber Motorsports Park this weekend has 4 LSiS involved. A Series 4 Lotus, a Birkin, a Locost, and a Super Stalker. I happened to drive through the paddock today with mine after doing some carb adjusting and chatted with them. If you are in the Birmingham area with nothing to do might be worth the drive over tomorrow to see them running. I also know our own eVox is doing some flagging at the event also.
  14. Yes welcome to the world of Lotus and Caterham. :7frog: But the fun factor makes up for well everything else.:7fume:
  15. It not Bama- Erin is in VA, Patty is NC, Diane is AL.... And like Mazda said the New newsletter will be coming soon. Probally mid-July for the first issue.
  16. I thought I was going to get killed at 7-7-7 because I let Erin drive some of the time, by weekend I know a few more of the women had. Erin has always loved the 7 and she will still get to drive at when she visits (until all goes to ....). I took a seven newbie to a car show on Saturday 110 miles one way there, she drove back. You might be reading about her new 7 addiction in the upcoming USA7s.org (paying) member newsletter. Erin, my old boss (Patty), and this new friend (Diane) 3 thin females who all need to be pryed out of the driver seat, guess I know how to find them.:7drive:
  17. Car looks great. Funny thing our old Caterhams.... Would you be looking to offset the cost of your new SL rimas and tires by parting with those in the picture? I seem to be going for the vintage look as of late... I also am sending a PM
  18. Bump back to the top.
  19. Bump Since this is tomorrow. I will rebump the GA Drive in thread tomorrow unless some beats me to it.
  20. I know I am late to this party but I guess their is a decent show scheduled for this Staurday in Madison AL. http://www.nabms.org/EuroBrit/EuroBritHome.htm I know a bunch of us from the Birmingham British Motoring Club are heading up for Saturday with some staying until Sunday. I will have the Cat there unless it rains. Any others Sevens going to be there?
  21. Thanks Martin for reminding us about those who have given their time and to some their lifes for us to have time with our 7s, sailing, painting the house or anything else we take for granted. :flag: and hers to you
  22. Congrats, nice car, but why is everyone selling?
  23. I heard that is what Al wanted for Orange. :jester:Did you get it for less than $100K? Simalar money to an Aero 8, so not out of line, if you run that line.
  24. Yes like Al said we just picked the local now we are wanting to start the recon and figure out dates, events etc... We just wanted to let everyone know the location so if you have suggestions or wanting to step up and assist we would know where we stand. I know we want a drive or two, the racers out there want some track time, we need some events for the kiddies.... If you have suggestions email them to me or even post here. This really is your event and we want you to be happy. Al, Mazda and I are just the "lucky" ones who get to put it all together. And like Al said membership renewals start next month and this is a key source of income to help fund the event, so the earlier you renew the bigger we can figure the budget to be.
  25. There was some talk on the USA mailing list about the guys on the west coast getting together and have their cars shipped. I just wanted to mention it here also. We (I) looked into shippers for cars to the Wyoming area for the meet getting a few areas to ship cars from. Almost everyone was looking at 1000-2000 miles one way and that would be 3-4 day drive there 3-4 days back plus 3-4 days for the meet and asking a lot of time, but to ship fly in and out would make it a workable vacation. This was going to be around 20-30K per truck for them to pick-up travel 1500 miles wait at the event and return 6-7 cars per truck (remember the trucks are basically ours even for storage at the event for 2 weeks. Of course nothing was in stone as dates were uncertain and gas prices well.... If I can get some suggestions of how many are interested and areas of for pick up I will look further into shipping of cars. Basically see what kind of deals can be worked out.
