lucky dawg Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Here's proof that you can take a Caterham on a Costco run without any problem. You just have to be careful about how many gift cards are involved
mdork Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Need the "after" shot of the car stuffed with paper towels and a new TV strapped to the roll bar
11Budlite Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 How about a Home Depot run in my old Birkin.
Kitcat Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 I used to park my '97 Caterham in the cart return corral to avoid dings on Kroger runs:).
JohnCh Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 I take the Westfield to Costco whenever I want to refrain from purchasing things in industrial-sized quantities. Like Bruce, I also use it when picking up long items from Home Depot. The ultimate SUV... -John
DavidL Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 I once went to Ikea in my Europa, and I brought a Christmas tree to my girlfriend's in my TR4!
JohnCh Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Did you say Christmas tree? Original Westfield back in 2002. Fortunately the trip back from the lot didn't require me to look to my right for any turns. -John
panamericano Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 I certainly hope you were wearing a Santa Hat.
JohnCh Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 I thought the red "sleigh" was sufficient. -John
escondidoron Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 While we haven't attempted a monthly Costco grocery run in the Seven we have done so with both the Esprit and the Evora on occasion. The 2 'boot' configuration of the Esprit makes it quite Costco friendly as long as you remember that the aft bay gets pretty warm even without our summer and fall SoCal ambient temperatures: While the Evora has only the rear 'boot', it is quite spacious with careful packing. Note that it can get warm back in there as well so don't plan on packing perishables back there for a long drive:
