Removing Caterham Immobilizer

I would really like to remove the Caterham-supplied immobilizer on my 2019 310S to clean up the wiring behind the dash. I've done a little searching and found this thread but it didn't go into detail on how to remove it:

I was reading Croc's "CatKong" thread and noticed the amount of wiring/hardware that is removed (see attached photo).

I understand the security issues involved, but if anyone can give some direction via PM I'd really appreciate it.  I don't want to start cutting wires and end up with a car that won't run!

I have the installation instructions that show how it is wired up.  If you send a private message with your email address I can send it to you that way.  Unfortunately, I cannot attach PDF in the USA7s private message system so it has to be via email.

@Croc I PM'd the PDF to John earlier this morning so he has it.  Not sure why it didn't work for you, but I would never be the one to suggest user error when you're involved :918766748_biggrinjester(1):  Ping me offline and I'll see if I can get that sorted for you.

Installation guide?  Sounds like original Lotus Disassembly instructions.

I'm hoping.  I have the scuttle off and will be working on it this morning.

Just wanted to update this thread. After some unwrapping of the harness, lot's of labeling of the wires, and some head-scratching over what they were trying to accomplish with the immobilizer wiring/connectors/etc, everything pertaining to the immobilizer is removed.  The car starts up and runs like normal, so all that's left to do is the final wiring connections, heat shrink, and wrapping the harness. If anyone has any questions pertaining to this operation, lmk via PM and I can give you some tips that might make it easier (fuses/relays/etc). I guess it could be done without removing the scuttle but I wouldn't want to attempt it!

Hi Guys,

I have a 2014 Roadsport 175 with very similar immobilizer issues, is it possible to get the immobilizer removal procedure sent to me as well?

Cheers

Dave

Welcome Dave. I sent you a DM.

Given the sensitive nature of the information, you may find people reluctant to share it with someone who joined USA7s specifically to make that request.  Although you may be a legit Caterham owner with a verifiable online history elsewhere, we have no evidence that is the case.
