NSXguy
Happy new year fellas! It was great to finally meet many other 7 owners locally and especially at the NJMP event last year; hoping we can coordinate to do even more of that in 2023. A few of us have already been bouncing some ideas offline for meet ups and such, so i thought to start a thread so we can all contribute to get the ball rolling as spring will be here before we know it. I figure if anyone is going to a track day/DE/autox and wants to share an invite for other sevens (assuming event allows such), then please post up and others can coordinate to participate as necessary. -Dez Edited January 8, 2023 by NSXguy
BlakeJ
Thanks for spearheading this, Dez. I have come to really love New York Safety Track (near Oneonta, NY) in the Se7en, and plan to go on Monday, June 19th with the "Dog House Track Days" group. Would love to see other Se7ens there, too!
slowdude
Thanks Dez, Was just going to post a winter build assistance thread. I figure if people need an extra set of hands to do work on their 7, a few minds are better than none on the complex tasks. Maybe we can start up something like that. I do know a coworker has an S4 7 that he needs help with the rear end on, so I may use the 2nd garage space at my place to do two rear ends at once. I've also got a parts list going to Rocky Mountain Caterham & Demon Tweaks so if anyone is looking to order parts, we can pool and save somewhat on shipping.
CBuff
Dez, While my 420 is scheduled to start production next month I don’t have any expectation of seeing it in the 2023 season. I do want to continue to check out the tracks in the northeast with my daily and always like the opportunity to talk and see peoples 7s. I went to NYST last year and enjoyed it. Was thinking of kicking off the season and checking out Watkins. I have been doing mostly NASA HPDE. Early registration opens tomorrow for April 21-23. REGISTRATION WILL OPEN Jan 9- 15 for a PRE-SEASON special discount of $50 off the regular 2 or 3 day pricing. There is no discount pricing for one day registrations, supersize or garage rentals. Prices listed reflect discount until Jan 15. Marek
@slowdude, what a great idea! My own 7 winter project is moving along well; though I do have some upcoming decisions to make on new harnesses and headrest for which consultation would be a help. I'd also benefit from some 13b turbo expertise in diagnosing a problem. And I would definitely be willing to lend a hand. I might even have a bit of shop space available for short projects.

I'd do a day or two that weekend. If someone wants a crew to wrench I'd be happy to help. I'm no master mechanic but simple things I can replace etc.
CBuff
I think they are usually $250-300 per day. The yearly Nasa membership is $70. I think you get $50 off for early registration.
Vovchandr
I might join in on NYST days. I don't love it there on the car but I'm no stranger to there on the bike and it's close enough to where it's easy to justify the trip even if it's not a bike. Easy drive. Checking into it too. Looks like I should be able to get it. Dez there is a friend referral program. If we both sign up early and use the refer a friend, we can get $100 off the day. I am assuming HPDE1, so will need a second harness. Going through their tech info at work now.

Marek
The local forecast for the next week is rain - and the promise of the beginning of a season with salt-free roads. My winter project work is in the home stretch and the car may be roadworthy as soon as this weekend. At that point only a delayed delivery of fresh harnesses stand in the way of a first drive. How are everyones else's winter projects faring?
wemtd
Still waiting on parts: just picked up clutch. Shocks just got to heathrow. Radiator needs a bit of fabrication work… still awaiting other incidental parts & warmer weather so I can put all these nice things back together
CBuff
I am planning on heading up to Lime Rock on April 8th for the NASA hpde track day in my daily driver. Haven’t been on that track yet and my driving skills need all the help they can get before my 420 arrives (I hope) by early 2024. Would love to say hello if anyone else is going that day.
