CarlB Posted January 10 Posted January 10 There are not a lot of older cars I would like to own. Ford rally cars are high on the list. Boreham Motoworks’ New Ford Escort Mk1 Offers a Screaming 10,000-RPM Redline | The Online Automotive Marketplace

panamericano Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Gorgeous. Yeah, I always dug those Escorts. But, at the price of a Ferrari?
S1Steve Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I would have never guessed it’s 375k… I could buy me a nice driver Ferrari Daytona
fastg Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I had an Escort MK 1 Twin Cam. The successor to the Cortina Twin Cam. AVO plate big wings. Loved that car. Graham 2 1
slowdude Posted January 10 Posted January 10 shhhhhh. Need these to crater in value. I can't even find a good one for under 40k anymore.
Christopher smith Posted January 11 Posted January 11 For sure the Escort Mk1 was a great car. After experiencing many , many really boring USA rental cars on domestic business trips and a really scary one with a Lincoln Town Car on mountain roads, I sure appreciated the handling of UK based rental cars. I drove an MR2 Toyota all over England in the rain and then a basic rental variety MK1 Escort. Not huge on power, but still loads of fun on back roads for business of course but also side trips to find up race car parts and even a trip to Caterham Hill. If there was such a thing as a reasonably priced upgraded Escort (not the lame front drive ones we had here) I would go for it.
IamScotticus Posted January 11 Posted January 11 500 cars. I doubt they will stop there. I'll wait for the Mexico edition. Right
MV8 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Not difficult to find an early 70s Capri here for 10-25k, stock-stunning.
CarlB Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 I just said they were really cool cars. I didn't say I thought they were worth the money.
