Arahant Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) Hi all, I own a brand new 2022 Seven 360 R SV, which is undriven, unused, titled (in NYS), and I’m selling it! Reasons: 1. Lifestyle changes — I travel a lot, and between my day job and travel, I’m very exhausted, so it is very hard to leisure drive on weekends 2. Even if I did make time, getting an insurance has been a hassle, to say the least. Since I can’t seem to enjoy it as I’d hoped, I’ve decided to just sell it. I hope and wish someone else can enjoy it. The cool thing is you’ll be getting this brand new car, WITHOUT any wait time! If you place an order for a new one, it takes several months, if not a few years. I had to wait 2.5 years, but for you, it’s 0! I've attached the spec sheet and a few pics. Vovchandr Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Very very cool. Jealous of you figuring out the NY reg dilemma. Seems like everybody else has figured it out but me! lol (titled as a 2001 from NC) You might want to indicate that it's an SV for potential buyers as it's a crucial distinction and non owners in the market often can't tell the difference. 1

Oh yeah, getting it titled was a effing nightmare! By SV, you meant the wide body chassis right? Edited March 3 by Arahant

Yes (in regards to Wide Body chassis) Not going to take your sale topic on a tangent but for any buyer considering this 7 in NY, it being titled is a HUGE bonus. 1 1

CBuff Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Assume it's titled as a Custom. Not sure if you want to mention that. It ended up saving me money on the insurance (Vs titled as Caterham). Im sure it differs from state to state. Sorry it didnt work out for you Arahant. 1
slowdude Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Dang, sorry to hear this. Want me to call your boss and tell him you need less travel time? 2
mrwierdwrench Posted March 4 Posted March 4 I was surprised that my insurer,{ State Farm}, was able to offer me the best rate, and most comprehensive coverage. I tried to work with Grundy, and Haggerty, but my local agent worked out the best. Sorry to hear that you had such issues. I'm also sorry to hear that titling it in NY was a hassle, I anticipated problems when I tried to title my recently purchased 7 in Colorado, but it only took(!) 3 hours at the DMV, where I had to explain the " replica" notation on a previous title, and convince them that it was a kit car so I wouldn't have to pass Colorados stringent emission standards. No one ever said that owning a car like this was easy!
mrmustang Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Might I suggest a picture or two of your engine and it's specs, the more you put out in your ad now, the less duplicate questions later. Spring is coming in the northeast, so buyers will be out looking for their next toy. Good luck with your sale.

Arahant Posted April 30 Author Posted April 30 Hi all, I’ve updated the price to $55k and uploaded a detailed spec sheet. 1
Xhilr8n Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I’m in serious discussion to bring this car to our garage in North Carolina. Seems to have been listed a while. As part of due diligence, does anyone know any reason why she’s been available so long? If so please PM me. 1
Xhilr8n Posted June 1 Posted June 1 (edited) OK guys I brought her home. Have had three Lotus including a track prepped Elise, but I’m new to Caterham, a lot to learn. She had her first outing in the wild yesterday, a few miles on the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway I’ll probably form a thread here to seek opinions as we sort her out. New to this forum. We’re not in Australia, your mechanism flipped the image. Edited June 1 by JohnCh rotated image 5
Xhilr8n Posted June 1 Posted June 1 (edited) Thanks JohnCh. All forums new to me have their quirks. Image flipping not one I’ve seen before but we’ll call it part of the Caterham journey. But a lot of forums have limitations or just awkward paths to posting images. I get it, this is where most of the data has to be stored. It costs to manage all that data over time. Edit: turns out, literally, that if a left handed person takes a picture in landscape it is interpreted as upside down by the software here. Sure glad the rest of the world has not got this issue. Thanks for what you do to make this place exist. Edited June 1 by Xhilr8n
CBuff Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Welcome @Xhilr8n Well bought. Glad you have it out on the road. I still can’t figure out the flipped photos road trip to New Jersey week after next ? https://usa7s.net/ips//15430-2025-annual-hpde-hosted-by-njmp-drivers-club-june-1314-2025/#comment-149176

Great to get together with other owners and experience it For some of us sometimes it starts out as a driving event, and then you end up on the sideline no longer driving due to.. circumstances. Still a great time!
Xhilr8n Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Thank you for the kind invitation. This car’s history includes a brutal trip from Western North Carolina to New York pulling a heavy steel rental trailer. We came back without the car due to a payment misunderstanding but had her delivered this week. My third Tundra is just not set up tight for towing that weight. I used to pull an aluminium trailer with the Elise, that was very easy. But between my newest Tundra not really set up right and the Northern roads and it took a week to recover.
CBuff Posted June 1 Posted June 1 (edited) Flipped photo for laughs!!! Drive the seven. The way it was meant to be. 480 miles - I did that in the last two weeks! (Not for the faint of heart) Edited June 1 by CBuff
Xhilr8n Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I guess there must be some other forum out there where iphone pics taken in landscape by a left hand appear flipped. But I’m pretty active for the last 20 years and never seen it before. Just a quirk of Sevenworld.
pethier Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Moved my big-block 496cid Suburban on to my older daughter and bought a Ford F-150 3.5L twin-turbo. Tows my enclosed trailer effortlessly and get 20 MPG whilst deadheading.
