i can find them in a lot of junk yards here too, but no a Eddy or Offy 4 brl manifold. lots of Fiero and citation engines rusting here. even older Cameros. I have talked to Eddy and Offy direct, they both say it's out of production and won't be any start up in the future. If you have a true 4-barrel manifold, name the price

Actually you said that I couldn't find any, but it doesn't matter. Just making conversation.

The aftermarkets are still very tall and not much better than a modded 2v, especially for what they cost when they can be found.

Here is a photo of a Eddy adapter that fits a holly to their 4 Brl manifold , I bought while waiting three months for Edelbrock to tell me there not making any more right now and they won't take this back ,, brand new and never used  ,I you want it ,I'll sell it for what I,paid for it

Yes , try and buy it ,,, I did from speedway , they don't have any and are not reordering them from Edelbrock , maybe 6 to 8 months out .

I'm still in the process of making my own . I have don't a few for Toyota 4 cylinder engines that had EFI , made the manifold to use Weber

Side draft crabs 2 of them  , I like things simple and I don't like plastic engine parts  BTW , what are you building now .

I understand. All the parts vendors now show "click bait" parts they will never have.

I'm currently building a triumph spitfire with a 2.8l carb, T5, 8.8 IRS, and taurus based IFS. I bought it at Road Atlanta dirt cheap because it had been badly butchered for an sbf.

I also built a 2.8l tbi geo tracker convertible for my wife. It has a 700r4/4L60 that I'm going through now with some improvements. Much lighter than an s10.

A company called US Shift makes a shift , stand alone shift modual for the 4 L60 . I have a restored 1983 S10 with a 4.3 V6  carburator Demond

650 and a full face cam , and the 4L60 ,my daly driver , the trucks has no computers of any kind , the 4.3 uses a old style Buick 231 CID V 6 distributor. The shift modual works great ,and mine came with a CD to run on a lap top while driving to set shift points

BTW the photo of the carb adapter is for that photo manifold you posted ..that you can't get ,,, reel in the bait

Greetings Everyone,

I have been checking out USA7s(mostly classifieds) for about 5-6 years, and now as of this week I have a reason to sign up, and make a post. I recently sold my

2018 Honda Civic Type R, and the only thing on my radar was a Caterham. I didn't go looking for one right away, but about 2-3 weeks after selling my CTR, I came across a 'barn find". Now usually I think of a barn find as being a car from the '40's or '50's up to the '70's. I was tipped off at a local car show about someone wanting to sell a Caterham with "no miles on it". So I took down the info and figured I would go check it out at some point. A few weeks later I got in touch with the owner and set up a day & time to go look at the car. When I went to go see the Cat it was in a very full garage surrounded by years, and years of hoarding. The owner said that the car was a 2001 and had been sitting in the same spot since 2004. It was quite dusty, and a lot of the aluminum seemed a bit dull. I made a few mental notes about the car that stuck out to me, the carbon dash being the main takeaway, this was enough proof to me this was a fairly modern Cat. I went back a few days later to roll the car out of the garage, see it in the daylight, and hook up power to see the odometer reading, and yes less than 900 total miles! I could not locate the Caterham plate with the stamped chassis number upon this first or second visit. After going home, and researching where it might be, it was found under the pedal box, and the plate was still in the plastic was never fixed to the car. I reached out to a friend who has a Cat and he gave me some information to get in touch with Josh at Rocky Mountain Caterham. Josh has been super helpful with breaking down the chassis number and getting more information including contact info for a gentleman in the UK that emailed me a copy of the original order form for the car in Jan 2001. And there it was a 2001 Superlight R right on the paperwork. As of Tuesday I am now the proud new owner of what I believe is to be a fairly rare Cat, and especially for the US. I picked the car up on Friday and got started working on Saturday. I am excited to start the process of reconditioning the car to put it on the road to enjoy! All that being said I already have a question regarding the SLR 5 spoke JPE wheels. Does anyone know where to source the key for the JPE wheels to gain access to the lugs? Thank you in advance and I hope to meet some of you at upcoming meets and drives!

Oh my. You've hit the holy grail by having a center cap on those wheels still :classic_ohmy:

Immediate word of caution. Those tires are not safe at all. Get replacements asap. It's a light car with a lot of pep and needs all the help it can get to stick to the road. Those are ice pucks by now. I've been through the same situation as you and luckily didn't get in too much trouble.

Also SLR in US is a bit of a misnomer. They are technically ordered as SLR's but they aren't truly counted as them by the official registry because they aren't assembled in the factory and have a lot more options than a true SLR would have (also the engine was never available in states). For example the spare wheel is pretty much a non option on the designated UK models but we had them sold here with them. The wheels are a true SLR gem in my opinion.

If I ever get a car from Caterham, I'll be all over the BRP...

I might come anyway, in a loping old Toyota lol.

Thanks Vovchandr! Oh yeah tires were the first thing I sourced even prior to purchasing the car. I’m definitely not trying to risk it with those 21+ year old tires. Now I am trying to get a manual for this particular Ford motor. Yes, I am currently in search to find the special key to get the center caps off. Any suggestions on where to find the key? I plan on cleaning the wheels, keep them and get a second set of wheels for the track.

No suggestion for the specific key. I would just just try to jam a pair of needle nose in there and turn it.

You should have a Zetec with ITB's most likely. Take a few pictures and we can tell you some information on whether its an SVT or regular Zetec etc.

Good call on tire swap.

PS if you for some reason want to sell those center caps.. you have a buyer.

A good pic of a wheel lock would help. Many different kinds. A wax impression could be made as a pattern for cutting a replacement key.

I'm sure replacement locks are available once you get those out.

Yes I was thinking about using putty, or clay to make a mold, and go from there. A proper key would be nice if it can be sourced. Very good call on the replacement option! I'll look into that. Thanks MV8!
