Hi again, y'all. I haven't been here for a long time, but thought some of you might be interested in this video of my 2012 Ariel Atom 3. I have been running my streetable Atom in the Open Wheel Racecar class at Hallett for the last several years. This video was late 2013. :driving:

Thanks for looking.

Eddie,

I know this is an old thread, but welcome and thanks for joining the forum!!!! I'm a child of the 60's and a long time fan of drag racing, so your name has popped up on my radar several times throughout the years. I didn't even know you were a member here till late last night. I was searching the forum on info for the Traqmate data logger (may want to pick you brain later, if you don't mind) and ran across some of your posts. It's absolutely awesome to see you are still burning up the track, regardless of venue. Huge smiles from Arkansas :D :D

The TraQmate is cool! Best investment I have ever made to improve lap times!

Eddie,

Thanks. If you make it out to Cresson in March, I'll take a good look at your set up. My plan is to use the Traqmate for running two Replay cameras and syncing data logging.

Hi,all.

Well, my 80th! birthday has come and gone. I was born on March 6, 1936, the 100th anniversary of the battle of the Alamo. Really.

But I am still here, healthy, (thank you, Lord!), still racing my Ariel Atoms, and have been blessed with the season championship in FAA (Formula Ariel Atom) in 2013, 2014, 2015, and leading so far in 2016.

Here is a picture of my new demonstrator/company car, 2016 Ariel Atom Turbo, with 365 HP and still 1350 pounds. This picture taken at Eagles Canyon near Decatur, Texas. I am not racing this new one yet, I'm still using my 2012 Ariel Atom 3 with 300 HP, and I'm not driving it as fast as it is capable of, so I'm continuing to work on my driving with my 2012, instead of putting miles on my new 2016.

Last weekend at Hallett, my best lap time was one minute, 19.55 seconds. Which is .4 second off of my career best of 1:19.15

This is my 9th year of racing the Atoms at Hallett, and it seems to be more fun each year.

God is good!

Cheers,

Hey Eddie...

Belated birthday wishes....us Hillls have to stick together!

I haven't been on this site in best part of a month so am a bit behind in my reading.

What caught my eye was your notation of Decatur TX. We drove through last week on 380 while bypassing the Ft Worth/Dallas traffic. We were shocked with the amount of water on the service roads, even more so next day when we heard 380 was closed around Bridgeport! Guess we dodged a bullet as we hit the only rain free day last week.

Anyway, here's to many more fast rides an birthdays.

From a fan from WAY back....
