As far as rear diffusers go, this looks like an area where a beginner in the art of carbon fiber fabrication could hone his skills, without any mistakes being too visible to the hoi polloi. I'd like to try my hand at it, after I re-profile a new custom gas tank for more capacity.... So some photos of seven rear diffusers not installed on the car would be helpful. Re working with CF: I'll offer what I think is an excellent source on how-to for doing fabrications of fabric and resin at http://www.fibreglast.com/?gclid=CNnPpvHfgK0CFYPc4AodV0eewg They have a several part video detailing a university project that created a CF chassis for a 100 mile per gallon vehicle. Very informative and well done production IMHO. From their catalog and the videos I got all I needed to do my first vacuum bagging project, making a reverse NACA duct to exhaust underhood heat out the side of my car - like the Caterham top-of-the-nose vents but less ambitious. For a first attempt at such, it turned out really well and the info I got was key to knowing that such a thing was even possible let alone spelling out how to do it. We leave the roof on an the license plate because the statement that we are tyring to make about the 7 is it's a road car. Just looking at the rear dual element wing, i think you should review the vertical distance between main element and flap. I think that the gap is too much and if that's the case, the flap could lose its effectiveness quite dramatically. Martin - As a gentleman of exceedingly good taste in carbon (meaning me...not you! :jester: ) happily exploring the infinite ways I can put carbon fiber on a seven, I can share some photos of how they mount a front wing to a Caterham Levante/CSR. It's a short track... I lap it in 56.3s and that monster subbi does it in 53.4. So I got 2 seconds to get on him! yah yah wishful thinking I know! But hey spending is fun... soooo... I was more thinking along the lines of the two little frong wings that the turbo hayabusa hillclimb car had. Rear wings are easy to find and install. But the front is tricky since we have very little frontal area and cooling is very important in my case with a tiny 14" radiator and 300 rwhp. Thanks for the links tho... the wishbone foils is neat. Not sure it would fit my a-arm but I'll see if I can't design something around that idea. And I did see a 150mm that was cut in two and mounted to the front nose cone... interesting.
