And I will exit stage right->

As I will need to be at work Sunday night, and the temperatures will stay around freezing in the overnight, I don't think I will go play in the ice w/ the 7. Not that I haven't done it before, but across 2 states is a different story. Its a shame, but it sucks not seeing everyone this year :(

I bet this is all media hype... SCDA is running their Lime Rock event tomorrow, rain, shine or flurries. Maybe I'll break out my doors for this one.

Any recommendations on tires for the cold? My options are Avon CR500s or Michelin Slicks. Unfortunately, I don't have snow tires.

You will need cable chains for your outing I do believe from the forecast from what I read.

"from the Weather Channel: How Much Snow?

Low pressure will intensify just off the East Coast on Saturday producing significant snow across the Northeast.

Below is our forecast accumulation map showing the heaviest amounts west and northwest of the I-95 corridor. In the pink shadings we could see 6 to 12 inches of heavy, wet snow. This includes cities such as Allentown, Pa., Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and Worcester, Mass.

While the heaviest amounts are most likely to fall northwest of I-95, some accumulations are also possible closer to the coast along the heavily-populated I-95 corridor from near Washington, D.C. to Boston. Precipitation will start as rain in these locations, but may change over to snow. How quickly this occurs and how much snow falls is dependent on the availability of enough cold air, which is difficult to forecast early in the season. "

Have fun and be safe....weather out here in Ventura Calif. is going to be sunny and 69 to 78 degrees on Saturday depending where your at in the area.

I know I am rubbing it in but I do enjoy reading about your events on the Northeast.....wish we had more people / 7's getting to gather out here in sunny southern Calif.

If I didn't have family plans, I'd consider coming out for the AutoX Martin. Then fly back for work. I think GGPCA Alemeida has an event as well Saturday.

Westchester Sports Car Club has an autoX sunday, but I suspect that will be scrubbed as well. Maybe a snowX, but that lot is very tiny(course loops 3x).

Let's hope that it deflects and the roads are nice and dry. Do we have a snow date?

Steve -

Bucks County Exotics on the 1st Saturday... will likely be there. C3 on the 3rd Saturday, same parking lot.

This is nuts! We had about an inch of snow on Thursday night and they're predicting 5-10" of snow through tonight. It just started snowing here a couple of minutes ago.... :banghead:

It has been snowing here, just north of Baltimore, since early this morning. We have about 3-4 inches on the ground now. I was out last night and they had pre-treated the main roads. I hate when they do that. I won't run the car now until the roads clean off a bit. I would have liked to run with everyone tomorrow but I don't have a trailer readily available and 2.5 hours each way is too far to drive my car right now. Plus I don't have cable chains for it! :banghead:

I am looking forward to the next NJMP outing. I will be running with you guys on the track next time.

Been snowing in new york for the last few hours.

Wonder how Karl is enjoying Lime Rock track day today?

I hope Karl's video cam is working, because if he was on track today in anything close to this weather, I'd love to see the carnage.:willy_nilly:

Karl, I hope you are warm, dry and safe.

Tom
