Poor, poor Suave. He pined through the lonely nights; looking, hoping for my return home. In his sleep, he would cry out "Let's build and drive!" only to awaken to an empty, abandoned shop echoing with memories of the smell of fused metal, hammering, bending, shaping and, and . . .

But, the inevitable happened...Suave moved on. He found a new friend with whom he can share his sadness; The Dude.

Please, those of you here who know Suave, encourage him to hang on; to wait with the patience of Job. We will build and drive again. In time, Suave.

Well, after a year being mothballed in the trailer, I brought the Storker back to Arkansas for a little wrench time. Suave is just beside himself. Maybe I'll get it back on the road this year. :smash:

Wow! Impressive comeback! You can always tell what a person is made of when things don't go as planned.

A major track incident won't stop you from getting back in the saddle, it seems like it's only made you stronger.

You are an inspiration to all of us.

If you are ever in Southern California you are welcome to take my ultra low mileage XL to the track.

A busy week for Suave and I. We spent the past few days breaking down the Storker mock build...again. Suave thinks it's time to give the old bird a different look. So, after disassembly, some minor fabrication and finish welding, it was off to powder coat for the new chassis. In the mean time, Suave decided to freshen up the rear axle with a fresh coat of black paint. One more week at home before blasting off for Indy, so perhaps a few parts will find there way onto the chassis this week. Ready to get this thing assembled on a more permanent basis.

Hi All, Suave here!

How do you get black paint off ass feathers when you sit down on a freshly painted rear axle?

Suave!!! Why did you sit on a freshly painted axle? You're the one that kept saying, "Take my picture! Take my picture!" :jester:

Its my space cadet friend, Astro Bob!

Bob...how could you take a quack at me like that! I am a Stork! You should not confuse me with my good friends Daffy and Donald.

Its well known that Storks are far more intelligent creatures than ducks. I am one of the most intelligent creatures in Arkansas. In fact I am probably the only intelligent thing in Arkansas........certainly I am the only thing not inbred...

Poor Suave, I should have known you were a Stork. Now I have ruffled your feathers. My apologies, sentient one! Soon, your flyboy buddy is going to be zooming around the track again in a beautiful "cousin" Storker. Maybe he will take you along for rides as long as you don't sit in any more paint:driving:.

Suave, I just hope you don't have an evil twin that is going to give me payback for thinking you were a duck when in fact you're a Stork!

Shane, Now I have gone and done it. Suave's uncouth older brother, Suave Less, came flying in yesterday to squawk at me in stork language mixed with English about having called his younger brother a duck. I apologized and told him that my buddy Shane had properly corrected me to understand that Storker owners are friends with storks, not ducks. He seemed to be less ticked off after the apology and agreed to take a picture with my new "7" emblem I am going to put on the nose of my Storker. Further pictures to follow now that Suave Less and I are getting along.
