m wirth
Nice looking pre lit Westfield. No affiliation with this seller, but I did talk to him and he is quite knowledgeable. Not many sevens come up for sale in the NW. Good chance for a local person to snag this. https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/6127575873.html

speedwagon
Anyone have any thoughts on this one: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/6137620150.html I have a car on a Rotus chassis it is sound, easy to work on and room for a ls v8 if wanted. This car has non-standard drive train but should be able to get parts, has patina but at 6k would make an excellent entry car for a slim budget. This car has non-standard drive train but should be able to get parts, has patina but at 6k would make an excellent entry car for a slim budget. Thanks for the info, speedwagon. Did not think there'd be room for a V8. Heck, there's barely enough room for my feet. When you say non-standard drivetrain, what do you mean? I didn't think any of these Lotus replicas had a "standard" drivetrain. =) Cheers, ~Alan

I didn't think any of these Lotus replicas had a "standard" drivetrain. =) Cheers, ~Alan There are several ROTUS around with V-8's installed, Rover 3500's and LS's. Mine has a 13-B turbo which fits with LOTS of room and I have measured the engine bay for a V-8 swap. I don't think it would be a problem. I measured the engine and trans in my Miata, which is a Ford 302/T5.
speedwagon
The add is gone (usually means sold). Cannot remember what the drive train was to prompt my comment about it being nonstandard. And the one I have has a kinda/sorta Lola mk1 clone body and stretched chassis. Find myself eyeballing the 450hp 408 Windsor and c4 in my Ranchero and it would fit actually quite well (might need a low profile air cleaner). Now if someone would just buy the Ranchero as a roller. Croc
After a few weeks of distractions I found the time to update this thread. First one is a stunner. 1978 Caterham but look at the spec: Documented build in excess of $100,000 [h=2]Chassis Original Chassis tag is present Total weight is 1250 lbs with spare tire and full tank of fuel Motor Lotus twin cam built by Williams’ Racing Turbo charged dry-sump aluminum block twin cam Carillo Rods Forged pistons Custom cylinder head Boost limited to 300 HP on pump gas, and has alternate map for 350 plus HP on race fuel 1,000 miles on motor Custom Air box Air to liquid intercooler in rear compartment Lightweight flywheel Alloy radiator Haltech ECU Gearbox Full synchro close ratio Quaife 5 speed built in 2017 by Williams’ Racing STD shifter Twin disc racing clutch Geared for 140 mph at 6000 rpm Suspension Suspension last rebuilt in 2017 by Williams’ Racing Brakes Rebuilt in 2017 Wheels 13 in. original alloy wheels with new set of track tires Body Bare Aluminum series 1 style No damage Instrumentation Haltech data system and ECU Spares Lap Top with software for Haltech [/h] http://vintageracecarsales.com/wp-content/gallery/caterham-super-7/unspecified.jpeg Aluminum nose cone. Series 1 aluminum rear wings. There are headlights but they are disguised. http://vintageracecarsales.com/wp-content/gallery/caterham-super-7/unspecified-11.jpeg That is what an air to liquid intercooler looks like. Roll cage is not a better design, safety or intelligent solution that I can think of? http://vintageracecarsales.com/wp-content/gallery/caterham-super-7/unspecified-10.jpeg Why oh why did they use those cheap plastic rim gauges after the expense of the rest of the build? Some nice Jaegers or other vintage look brands are out there. http://vintageracecarsales.com/wp-content/gallery/caterham-super-7/unspecified-23.jpeg I bet that was fun to package up? The ad and the rest of the photos are here. panamericano
It doesn't get much better than Monaco in the morning, and Croc's excellent work to get through the yellows and commercials of the 500. Thanks. Of course, now I'm wondering what it would cost to do aluminum fenders and nose. Thanks again, Mark
