Anaximander
I'd say it was a track car looking at the photos. Keen eye Mike and a reasonable hypothesis. I think the Tillett racing bucket vs. the conventional Caterham seat for the passenger with different harnesses may be the giveaway? I wonder what 700 track miles is the equivalent to street miles in terms of wear and tear?
Croc
Actually, Mr Mustang saw what I saw. One photo in the ad has a set of scrubbed tires. Either he is tracking or he is autocrossing but he is not driving Miss Daisy on the street!
BMW RACER
Lotus 7 S2 - seen this car at Owl Head museum once when I was there https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/d/s...938383194.html I want to know what size wheels and tires it has? I love the "steamroller" look of the front!

Croc
Lotus 7 S1 https://www.ebay.com/itm/1960-Lotus-...QAAOSw-HJdQJPR Can some of y'all take a look at this and comment? I am seriously considering buying it. First observation is that it has been for sale for a very long time through a variety of channels. Good indicator of over-pricing so be sure of your value going in. There is a photo and some discussion (I think) of this car in the Dennis Ortenburger book. Its not clear if this was a Lotus experiment with IRS or an individual owner's modifications. With history so vague it makes valuing the car difficult. Also it makes it very owner specific in terms of liking or not. I suspect it is a very effective vintage racer which is why you are actively considering it. How effective a racer it is should be something with some level of documentable proof by the seller so you have a guide to potential before diving in. I am seriously considering buying it. Assuming that you will be racing this, make sure it will be accepted by the organization you want to run with and classified properly. Get all the documentation you can! Good Luck!

For V-6 Storker drivers that think they really should have had a V8: https://www.ebay.com/itm/173987571354 Is that an autox car or one made for the demolition derby? We Storker owners are a bit more se7enesque, don't you think? Hehehe, I do like my LS3/480 in my Storker XL. "Here Caty, Caty" Who says that brut force doesn't overcome brains and finesse? Kitcat
I love that the seller of the "steam roller" V-8 special explains the sale by saying: "downsizing parents." The less we know about that the better:).

panamericano
The word is out about Croc. From LocostUSA: If you have any link to the vehicle information you should put it on the usa7s.net a user called croc keeps a weekly updated list of just about all the 7 type cars for sale in USA and Canada. It's a major resource for anyone looking for 7 type car, I have sent many people over to the list who are looking for cars. Ref this car: http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=20038&sid=3b95eda04d3c4fe59c56019011ec870f (Westfield)
