So mine has a 3-4" vertical aluminum style knob... I've been thinking about getting about a 6" vertical delrin style knob and am making the assumption that it is pretty much a stock S2000 tranny and that if I find one made for it I could just screw it in.

What do you all run / like and please share any pictures if you don't mind. Cheers, Eric

My old setup; bought a shift knob from the UK and grafted it onto a stock Camaro shifter (this was a few years ago):

My current setup is an aluminum handle (ebay score) with a round black knob that has the TKO tranny shift pattern:

http://www.knobmeister.com/ can make most any shift knob you want. Joe is a friend of mine and has made a number of custom knobs for me in the past.

He makes a lot of other things such as etched glass mugs with most any logo you want.

+1 for Knobmeister. I bought a Team Voodoo knob from Joe several years ago and had him engrave the Westfield logo on it as well as on an aluminum horn button I supplied. Great work and prices.

didn't want to admit it... but tried with all my might twisting it off... no luck. looking just below the knob.. it almost appears splined. Wonder if it is/was hammered on?

Gunship there is a ring on the bottom 1/2-3/4 inch of the shifter. The little ring unscrews and then there are three set screws that hold the shifter handle on. There are no threads on top of the shifter. The stock Honda shifter is about 12" tall and kinda looks like a shifter for a Mac truck in the Ultralite. The stock shifter has a vulcanized rubber bushing upper section that gets removed what you have left is what is used for the shifter. you can have the shaft turned down and threaded or weld the desired bolt thread and pitch to the shifter stud. I have done it both ways for customers it depends on the knob.
