Klasik-69 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I'm seriously thinking of adding a Stalker to my little collection so please post some more pictures. The back of this one looks radical, diabolical and just plain no-nonsense "get the hell out of my way" attitude. I'm liking the white too.
toedrag Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Congrats! That is tasty. I've always liked the black & white color scheme. Very excited to see more pictures. Hard top with the wing - nice choices. You'll also need to find someone with a stormtrooper costume and do a fun photo shoot. :jester: alla the Stormtrooper Exige http://www.wranglerforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=18616&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1272558815
xcarguy Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Photos, Photos, Photos, please! Words don't work here . . . . . :Chevy_anim: :flag: . . . . .
xcarguy Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 MB7, The car looks fantastic! Is that a new cowl design for the windshield? When you get a chance, I'd like to see (via photos, of course) how Scott mounted the front/rear wings.
MightyMike Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Excellent workmanship! More photos please. Thanks for posting.
MB7 Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 It's an LS3 with a close ratio T-56 tranny. I might have to get it dry sumped being it will be track driven only. I've always been a car nut, coming out of an Ariel Atom and GTR, the Stalker is so much more fun and consumables are probably 50% less expensive.

I've always been a car nut, coming out of an Ariel Atom and GTR, the Stalker is so much more fun and consumables are probably 50% less expensive. I've ordered the same config. If you by chance went with the Magnum T-56 close ratio, where did the shifter end up? Might you have a picture? I've gone back & forth on the dry sump. If your track(s) has any left-hand sweepers, that seems to be the risky bit on the LS-engines. Aviaid & others have some reasonable scavenge-only systems where you retain the stock pump to provide pressure.
MB7 Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 No problem, I'll post a picture of the shifter tomorrow. Left hand sweepers are the Achilles heel of the LS3 from what I've read over at the Corvette forums. Congrats on your new Stalker!
scannon Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Flyin Miata has two LS3 oil pans made by Moroso (aluminum and steel) for their V8 conversions. They have sumps with trap doors to prevent oil starvation and are a little shallower than the stock ones to give a little more ground clearance. I suspect they would work well on the Stalker V8s without the cost of dry sumping the system as well as save some space. Many of their V8 conversions are track and race cars and I have not heard of any of them having problems with oil starvation. http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?deptid=5675&parentid=0&stocknumber=26-04115%20%20ALUMINUM http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?deptid=5675&parentid=0&stocknumber=26-04115%20%20STEEL
