  1. The artist who did the paintings for the Lotus exhibit is my good friend, Gary Dausch, from Indianapolis and a long time Lotus owner. They had over 400 visitors on opening night a week ago.
  2. Built my first one when I was 60. Bought my second one a couple of months ago and I'll be 70 next month. Still have them both plus on my second Miata MX-5.
  3. Russ, Yes, the cone kickers/number plates are removable. One of the the Stalker owners in North Dakota had some made as lockable storage. Sort of like motorcycle saddle bags but look and mount just like these. Have not planned any trips for next year yet with the exception of a couple of out of state family weddings in October (Wisconsin and Maine). This build is a show stopper for sure. The more I tinker with it the more I'm impressed with the fabricators work. Much attention was paid to detail. Jack
  4. Brunton SuperStalker with a different twist....Turbocharged Solstice Ecotec rather than the V6 or V8 power plants
  5. I'll put side engine covers on it like on my yellow one. The sharks teeth will be gone before the weekend. This engine came out of a pontiac Solstice. I think i'm gong to like it. Only had it for three days. This was a turnkey car from the builder. Jack
  6. I have not had a chance to weigh the car yet. On the title it said 1600 pounds on 21 but I think that would be heavy. My chassis #10 weighs 1520. It only has the exhaust on the passenger side which is where they had to put the turbocharger. It was purpose built not a conversion from the 6 cylinder. I will be learning more about the car over the next few weeks but I am excited about the Ecotec concept. So far this is the only one and it was built in Iowa.
  7. I now have a Turbocharged SuperStalker. Power is a 2.4L Ecotec from a 2006 Solstice with a stage III Hahn turbo. http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=17181
  8. ChuckeD, Go to the Stalker V6 Gallery site: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php In the upper right hand corner click on the "Register" and request permission for a Gallery page. This is for Stalker V6 owners/builders to post photos of their Stalkers. Once I receive your request I can activate your StalkerV6 Gallery web page. Jack
  9. Sorry if I offend anybody but this is a testimony why you should never sell a welder to a farmer....
  10. Hey Mike, Did you have to use spacers for your wheels. They look really nice. Jack in Indy.
  11. I am lucky enough to have three daily drivers; Stalker, Miata MX-5 and a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab....I check the daily weather report before I head out for the day. :-) or :-(
  12. Mike, I would say your new Stalker is the Classic chassis and not the new M-Tec. The Classic has the live axle S-10, which is great. You will be very happy with this package plus it has the classic lines of the original Se7en. Welcome to the Stalker family. Jack Chassis #10 in Indianapolis
  13. Brent, Sounds like an awesome trip. I know you and Brenda will have a blast. Be safe and keep a log to share with the group. I know Brenda will have her camera. Jack & Penny
  14. Congratulations Robin, Mike has built and owned two SuperStalkers. I never saw the second one in person but did see this one at the Stalker Ambush in Helen, GA. Stewart is correct, this is a very nice build. Jack
  15. I used Caterham fender stays with the headlight mount on a Stalker V6. Worked out great. Had to make the split tube mounting brackets that weld to the top of the frame. Jack
  16. Wow..!!! Is that a Mallock? I love those English hot rods. A good friend of mine here in Indy is deep into the process of restoring a Mallock. Jack
  17. Hey Scott, You guys did a great job at the Dixie tour. Nothing shabby about those runs. Jack
  18. Hey Scott, Don't take that '47 Jeep to lightly. Anything that Del Long builds is fast. As odd looking as the Jeep EM car is it is FAST. Sounds like you will get to see the new M-Tech V8 run. Will interested in your observations. Jack
  19. Mazda, I have the same set up; disc front, drums rear. RNR is correct with smaller MC working the front disc and larger MC working the rear drums. The front brakes do the most work and a smaller MC will require less pedal effort. Jack
  20. Not sure. At the Nationals this year a friend of mine that ran a D/M WCM Ultralight XR7 was questioned about the opening in the top of the bonnet that exposed and aided in the radiator cooling. I think he was asked to close it off because Tech felt that it provided "downforce". I am not 100% sure that was a final decision but I know there was a discussion. I believe the opening in question is at least as large, if not more, as the one on the CSR. As far as the wiskers are concerned possibly a photo of the originally equipped Caterham CSR with the wiskers might enable a positive outcome for the argument. However, It could be challenged. Jack
  21. Hey Russ, Your 2 element wing looks cool. You might get by with running it in SCCA Regional events if you are the only E/M car in your class. Most likely you will have to run A/M if you want to win FTD honors. It won't make it through SCCA Divisional events or National Tour events unless you run A/M. D/M and E/M are non-aero classes. You can run with a tall 10" spoiler and you can also run with a front splitter but it can't extend the width of the bodywork under the nose. The spoiler can even extend out to the edge of the rear fenders but they must be attached to the fenders. You can also run with a defuser underneath the rear section of the car. The rule book is very specific about spoilers with no air passing underneath the device. If any air flow can pass underneath it is then considered as a wing which is forbidden in our class. Jack
  22. Neat story Glenn. Thanks for posting. Now lets go beat the crap out of the guy that stole the money... Jack
  23. Hey Russ, You should also post this on the Stalker Forum. I think you will have broader exposure since not all Stalker owners subscribe to USA7s. Jack
  24. I have a friend here in Indianapolis that built one of these and it is wicked fast. Uses the 1300 CC Hayabussa. Jack
  25. Hey Russ, Just sent you a PM via your email address that I have. Jack
