  1. Ouch is all I can say between laughing. I also agree with 7evin about the techonology.
  2. Check with State Farm Ins as they were the only company that I could find that would cover multiple properties and cars owned by me in more than one state all on the same policy. They were not as expensive as the company you indicated and even have better coverage for my money but that is just my belief and besides I can walk into my agents office whenever I have a question which I do not think you can do with the other company and yes I have used the other company and never had to file a claim with either of them.
  3. Oyagi, I do not think so you willhave to make them yourself. Their is a company called Kenitic Vehicles http://www.kineticvehicles.com/index.html that might be able to make a setup for you as Jack worked with the CMC 7 company when they were still in business and the front end of your car looks a lot like their front end from what I have seen and read. Make sure you follow the directions on Kinetics contact page if you try to get ahold of them. Hope tis helps.
  4. It catches the oil vapor and lets it collect plus it contains any overflow of oil or any fluid from getting on the car and more importantly the road surface or track surface.
  5. Oyagi, Here is a JPEG of a model that would work with your front suspension setup. It would clamp to the modified shock strut spindle and then support the cycle fender above the wheel. Just an idea. Hope this helps as it would be simple to make I feel.
  6. Just methane gas and not air and besides you are not trying to breathe those bubbles.......:smilielol5:
  7. Only when I am Auto-Xing.
  8. So Mike what do you do for work and this will help you get to the 2K post.
  9. That is amazing. Wonder what keeps the air in a circle and from rising to the surface.
  10. Well let me say that I normally do not polish the aluminum skin on my 7 due to the amount of labor it takes and that it has to be done on a routine bases and that my preferred way was to use a scotch bright pad to remove any imperfections to the appearance of the aluminum skin so until now my car has always been a dull finish. Last weekend 07-25-10 I attended the Central Coast British Car Club car show and was given a sample of a polish for metal while sitting talking to a friend with out the representative knowing what type of car I have so their was no bias in getting the sample bottle of the product. So this weekend I decided to give their product a try on my car as I figured if it did not work as the rep said it would work I would just get out the scotch bright and re-dull the finish of the area of the aluminum that I used as a test section. I then took a couple of photos of the rear panel of my seven before I started to apply the polish to the aluminum as the directions stated to do and all I can say is this stuff is great and I have tried a number of other polishes to put a shine on the aluminum skin of my car but always found it to be a whole lot of work and a lot of effort but this stuff is totally different and really works well as the photos show and yes I am now going to due the rest of the car and even consider wet sanding the aluminum skin with some 900g sand paper and then 1200g sand paper to get a lot of the surface scratches off so it come out even better that it did come out after 15 min's of work on the rear panel. Products name is Quick Shine Metal Polish their web site is www.quickshinepolish.com and I have no interest in the company but figured that anyone out their that has a polished 7 would be interested in this product as it works very well and dose what it says it will do. Here is a link to the photos of what I did in 15 min's to the rear panel of my 7. http://picasaweb.google.com/MHKflyer52/QuickShineProductPhotos?authkey=Gv1sRgCKD319zq962fhQE#
  11. Probably was a BUG crawling around under the dash across some terminals? Glad to hear you have the issue at bay.
  12. Now that is funny.....especially the last line.
  13. Now that is so funny........my face hurts from laughing so hard.:jester:
  14. That is very good.......glad my computer and its operator (me) are not that capable or smart.......
  15. One advantage is the oil is pumped from a source (the reservoir) that is usually much larger than the standard oil pan and there is very little chance of cavitation from cornering (high G loading) as I understand it, another is the pump is usually external of the engine for less engine drag and easier servicing I would suspect but not sure of so don't hold me to that.
  16. My vote is for a Duze's fastener at each corner or a screw knob into a rivnut mounted into a bracket to keep the hood / bonnet on the car. Here is a link to a post (#17) with a photo of what I used for my car even though it is not a Stalker. The black knobs are what holds the hood / bonnet to my car and has worked well for the past five years without coming loose. http://www.usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=4857&page=2 Hope this gives you some other ideas.
  17. Well I saw this on another site as theyt posted it up as if it was new. Figured everyone would enjoy the link and Mazda Franklin7 sure looks different now that back then. http://jalopnik.com/277056/se7en-se7en-oh-my-se7en :driving:
  18. Now that is funny.
  19. Look for any signs of corrosion on any of the connections to the instrument panel. Maybe spray your headlight switch with an electrical cleaner as it sounds from your description that you might have an internal short in the switch causing the instrument lights to come on. Will be interesting to hear just what the problem is once you get it figured out.
  20. Hi KiwiBirkin, Very COOL. I did not mean to be critical I just figured it might have been over looked. When do you think you will have your 7 back on the road. :auto: Looking forward to seeing more photos also.
  21. Hi KiwiBirkin, Just looked at your photos and I like the driveshaft hoop for the front universal. You might want to put one in at the rear also as if that universal gives up it will eat your hip before you can get the clutch in and the shaft stopped as the aluminum skin that is in that area will not slow it down at all. Just my observation and belief.:driving:
  22. Sad to hear of his passing.
  23. Oyagi once you do an auto-x you will look at a track lapping day as just another day of fun that wears out a set of tires but that is just my belief and everyone has to start sometime so go give it a try. :cooldude:
  24. Good One
  25. What did you say......excuse me I have to take out my foam ear plugs.....:bigear: Local hardware sells them in a case (500 pair) for very reasonable cost and they also work well when you just need to block out someones bickering for putting grease rags into the washer and then not running an empty load after to insure all the grease is out of the washing machine before someone uses it to wash cloths.....not that I have done that but they due work good for that also.:seeya:
