MHKflyer52 replied to MHKflyer52's topic in Cars For Sale
Well my 7 is still available if anyone might be interested even if it is not a Caterham or Westfield or Birkin it is a lot of fun. I am asking $12500 US dollars and open to all reasonable offers. If you want to see some of the photos I have of the build and the car follow this link http://picasaweb.google.com/MHKflyer52/ALotus7Replica# If you’re interested or know of someone that might be interested let me know as the more I think about it the more I am leaning to sell my 7 so make me an offer. I wounder how fast the officer was going when he lost control. Quite a lucky day for the officer I think after reading the article. Wounder what the black box in the trunk is...kinda looks like a fuel cell with what looks like a section of pipe on top of it.

I put in an oil cooler for the same reasons that TheDingo8MyBaby stated plus it gives you some added capacity which also helps in the cooling process even if the amount is not all that great. My vote would be to add the oil cooler now while your doing your engine transplant as it sure dose not hurt and if you do get the temps up high at least you will know that the oil has a better chance of not failing due to being overcooked. Just my thoughts.

OUCH.......What is wrong with these PHOTOs

Hi Mondo, Your correct with that and I am putting a lip on the back that is angled up so that if I should catch something while backing up it will not hang up as bad. Hopefully I will not have to find out if it works due to a spin off course or road and if I due I think I would have other issues that would need addressing once stopped. :driving: -
Sounds like the relay but it might be a ground that has come loose or all the bulbs could be burned out which I dought.

If you have O-Star in your car (any GM product) it is all being monitored and has been for sometime now besides most ECU's have the ability top store a lot of different information that has been used to determine different things like max speed and G-forces exerted on the vehicle.

"Broke your back".....hope your ok and heal up good....when I first read your post I just glanced at it and saw the word borke and carbon fiber and figured you were saying you were now broke but then re-read it and now I am hoping you are OK.

Hi raceral, Very nice. I know from experance that your build is going to be very nice when finished. I like the setup you made to build your a-arms for your car...very nice giging. -
To title and register a used car in USA
MHKflyer52 replied to BrunnyS1's topic in General Sevens Discussion
+1 on that especially as most states are looking at collecting as much money as they can and making it as hard as they can even for the serious collector of vehicles. Just my belief and in no way reflects on any state or county. -
Very nice....like the tan interior and passanger compartment cover.

Thirteen inches in Diameter. Originally had a fifteen inch steering wheel but getting in and out was near impossible. Amazing how two inches makes such a difference.

Now that has me laughing....DB6 sure did burn his bridge.....:seeya:

Very Cool. You might want to add driveshaft hoops while you have the trans cover removed. You should be able to fab one up for yourself. You can see a jpeg of what I am saying in this thread post number 18. http://www.usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=4707

I drove my 7 to work today and did not even realize the today is 07-07. Still tryng to dry out as the fog here in the local area is so thick that it is almost raining and with no top or windshield wipers I must say that I am just a little wet but I do have the 7 smile and am looking forward to the ride home as it should be nice and clear by then. Thanks Mazda and the founding members and all the members for great site for all 7's. :driving: :auto: :cooldude:

That is funny as most Naval Aviators including me think the Submariners (Bubbleheads) are the ones with the cast iron pair as who in their correct mind would willingly sink a boat and then go hunting for the enemy without being able to see them let alone knowing that not all of the ocean bottom has been mapped correctly so one dose not run into objects while submerged.:flag:

Neat photos, the first one shows more chrome than I have seen in a while.

What do you call your car when you refer to it?
MHKflyer52 replied to Oyagi's topic in General Sevens Discussion
The actual name / make on the data plate mounted to the firewall on my car reads: "ALDO TS1 LOTUS SUPER 7" MFG: RELLEK POWER MASTER NEWBERG OR. My wife actually came up with the name when I was building the car. Her explanation to the ALDO TS1 was this "Aldo a reference to my Italian heritage and the TS1 she said stands for Testosterone Special One". I laughed when she told me that that I immediately figured that when I did title the car the data plate would have to have that on it so here is a photo of the data plate. -

KiwiBirkin, I just looked at the link and you have some nice shots their. The one with I suspect your wife driving is very cool as the expression on her face says it all. -

I and a lot of others would like to see those photos if you can post them up or if you have a link to them. One of the reasons that I think the forum dose not have a real photo section as it requires a large storage area for the photos. May I suggest that you sign up for something like http://Picasaweb.google.com as it is free and you can control who has the access and what photos are avaiable for people to view. I have a an account with them and it has always worked and has never been a problem for me and it is free. Here is that link if you have never seen it. http://picasaweb.google.com/MHKflyer52/ALotus7Replica# -

They make it look so easy......but that is why they are both world champions.....:cooldude: -
That is a very good clip in my belief. Shows the respect that is given to another driver by others of equal ability but with humility and reverence.

Hi Ryan, Might I suggest that you drive your 7 to a trailer sales lot and test fit your car on the different models that they have. If you purchase a single axle trailer to carry your 7 I would suggest that you get one with brakes and a load rating of 2000 to 2500 lbs. as that would give you a very good safety margin and the ability to carry a car like a Miata without issue. I personally would look for an enclosed trailer with dual axles as they provide much more security and also an extra garage / storage unit when not being used as a car transporter plus the added security if you should have a tire failure while towing a car or anything else. Other things that I would look for that will help with loading and unloading such as a dovetail ramp area or the ability to tilt the bed for loading ramp if an open trailer, side pockets for 2x4's if an open trailer (lets you add panels to hall all kinds of stuff such as firewood or bark dust, etc.), wood deck (better than a steel deck as you can secure stuff to it easier) with reinforced D-ring tie downs located in deck area not on the sides of the trailer frame if an open trailer. Just my suggestions as there are many thoughts about trailers but I would look for a used enclosed trailer if I were looking for another trailer to carry my 7. :cooldude:
