  2. athens, Their is a jepeg of a hoop that can be made to work that way and is easy to make in this link to the thread http://www.usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=4707&page=2 . If you need to change the dimensions to fit your car that is also easy to do. Send me an e-mail and I will send you a PDF of it that you can use to make it. Hope this helps.
  3. Very nice looking 7 you have their. What make kit is it?
  4. Looks like you had a good time. Where is the track from Christchurch as I would like to see if I can Google Earth it for a look. The is the maker of the Yellow LSIS with the License Plate AAX841 and a "D" on the grill. Interesting looking and clean.
  5. I had the same reaction and almost fell over when I saw the price also. It is very cool but I just wounder how many they will sell once they start production.
  6. From having owned an automotive service business (full service fixed base auto detail service) and having had employees that had to operate clients autos to move them around the business property and I always had insurance that covered the unexpected as that is part of having a business. For example an employee thinking (first mistake) the car that was being moved would fit under a partially open garage door and then driving into the bottom of the door and damn near knocking the entire wall down as the car pulled the garage door out of the wall and on top of the car just because she did not want to get out and raise the garage door to its full open position (installed automatic door openers the next day on the remaining garage doors). Yes my company paid for a rental and also purchased the owner another car of equal value without any arguments from me and an apology from the employee who was moved to a different position and then left my company soon after the accident. Yes my insurance carrier was a little miffed but they did not even raise my insurance which I figured would happen due to the claim which really surprised me as it was not a cheap claim but that is why a business carries insurance in the first place for those accidents that occur when the business has someone else’s property and an accident happens. Dealer should have just bit the bullet and made it right in my belief.
  7. Hi Jim, Isn't that is a great feeling that everything is working out like it should without any glitches except for the furlow day the state has put into place for the DMV. Enjoy your new toy and be safe with it. The weather and time of year are just going to get better and better for a 7 out here in California.

  9. Heck $3.00 a gallon....here in Ventura regular is anywhere between $3.09 and $3.26 a gallon and preium is $3.23 to $3.49 and going up... Wishing that I could go back in time say 40 yrs or so and know enough to buy stock in one of the major gas suppliers and to have those prices again but that is just wishfull thinking on my part.

  11. Have to agree with scannon on this. Just not something that I would want to have fail due to an elongated bolt hole plus what would it due to the balance of the flywheel.
  12. That is cool. The car sure dose help along with that smooth floor.
  13. Yep he is hooked and has that 7 smile now. I can see the motorcycle sitting in the garage more often now.. IT take a couple of days before one really has the nerve or confidence to experence the sensation with a new toy and that is good in many ways...find a large parking lot and let it rip and you will learn a lot very fast.... Just keep an eye on it and besides it helps prevent corrosion on the underside....No seriously if you can not spot the leak take some talcom power and dust the engine than blow it off with an airline and the talcom power will stay on the leak so you can trace it back to it's source... Yep we all feel the same way...enjoy it and be safe.
  14. :jester: Just have to rub it in but out here in Southern California the weather has been fine and we only had a couple of days of rain in the beginning of the month. :jester: Enjoy the nice weather your having as you all deserve it after all that snow you have had this winter in Eastern Pa. and NJ. and MD. and NY. sometimes I wish we had some out here but then I shake my head and check to make sure I am awake and not dreaming. :cooldude:
  15. Thats a good one Hank but I bet it would not happen in Lost Wages, NV. She cleaned house I bet.
  16. I would have to say that I have often completed the same thing until I remember that a gallon of milk was under a dollar and was delivered to the house by the milkman who work for the local diary and a loaf of bread was some were around a quarter and also delivered to your house until it became to expensive to pay for the insurance and maintance of the delivery trucks and to pay for the insurance and the drivers pay all because technology at the time was as simple as making the manufacturing process quicker and cheaper and the fact that big business started putting more products on shelf of large stores and such so the small business cannot be competitive with large corporations. It is called inflation and greed of the people including me as I like money and what it can provide. Have to agree with you that inefficient government has also contributed to all of that especially here in the BROKE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. Just my belief or as some say my two cents which does not get you a lot in today’s economy.
  17. That is sweet....wish I had a supercharger on my car.
  18. So Skip how did you get the Miata off the crapper.........
  19. I think they (the dealer) has to disclose that the cars are being sold with that setup when someone purchases it or they can be at risk of envision of privacy laws. That is why GM provides On-Star for free for the first 12 months on new so equipped vehicles. I am not a lawyer but I know when I purchased my Ford in 2003 the dealer had a devise plugged into the system that let the vehicle be started and test driven off the dealers lot only if a sales person was with you and had a special key fob that would activate the system and keep it activated as long as the sale person was within 25 feet of the vehicle. It also let them program the vehicle so that you could take the vehicle within a certain distance (I think it was 25 miles) for such things as having an independent inspection accomplished if the vehicle was a used vehicle. The dealer removed the control module when the sale was finalized as it plugged into a service port under the dash. I know this because I watched them remove it (little box about the size of cell phone) and it was not the OBDII port but another connector in the wiring loom that it was plugged into. They were very proud of the fact that they had not had a car removed from their lot with out there knowledge in over 3 years due to their security system they had at the time.
