  4. Hi All, I have been following this thread and like the idea of cheap wheel creapers but here is are what I have and use all the time and they will carry a 1000lbs each so just about any normal car dose not over load these and they are on sale at Harbor Freight. Normaly these are two for $75 which is what I paid several years ago and they are worth it as they are very robust. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=38959 Hope this helps and maybe you can get Mrs Santa to put it under your Xmass tree or what every you do for the holidays.

  7. First of all CONGRADULATIONS and the smile really never goes away from your face after driving a 7. An S1 is a real space ship when it comes to modern LSIS vehicles and is one sharp looking car. Post some photos when you receive your new car and have fun.
  8. That is very cool....:cooldude:....Wonder if all the extra parts I have if put together would look like something that is recognizable besides a pile of old junk parts....:jester:....
  9. Hi Mazda, That looks good from what I can see in the photos should turmn out very nice. For a release agent I have use saran wrap and it seems to work very well also. Keep posting those photos and have fun as you can always sand or cut out anything you do not like and do it again with fiber glass.

  11. Happy Thanksgiving to all. I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable day, whatever you may be doing. :cooldude:
  12. Arya....only thing that has gone wrong on my truck at 87000+ miles about two years ago was a trans over temp which the dealer had the factory rep look into and they replaced the trans and did it all in one day. So far no other problems and my factory 100K warranty is long gone now but I have an extended warranty that I purchased with the truck new as an extra insurance policy for my self.
  13. Can one say got that BELL RINGING sound in my Head and it is not going away......
  14. They are not locals.....:smilielol5:.....locals would be on the beach.
  15. Yes I still have ties to Newberg and Portland. I actually have Calif. plates on all of our vehicles as we spend more time in Ventura, CA. than in Oregon and it is less hassel once you have a job in this state although it cost you way more than Oregon dose to register your vehicles every year. Arya, Yes it is a 6.0 and I am very happy with it and knock on wood I have not had any trouble with it and I am always towing something some where with one of the two trailers that I have and I don't waste any time when out on the road. I do make sure that I change the oil every 6500 miles.
  16. That is not overkill it is just pure comfort and safety....like my setup

  19. Mazda, Here is what I have for my car and the law just looks at it and I have not gotten sited for not having a windshield wiper on my car. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/ProductSummary.aspx?free_text|11/20/2009%2012:53:08%20AM=hand+windshield+wiper&deptId=0 Hope it works the link....I know the wiper works so so but meets the law.
  20. Hi Mazda, Car looks good with the hood and windshield. You might want to purchase a wiper motor from Moss Motors for an MG Midget or MGB and then the wipers and arems and drive cable for that system and adjust the cable to fit your car. Very simple system and works well has two speeds and can be worked by a two position switch. Hope this helps.

  22. Wounder if the driver has a hunting license...........It is a four point buck....:seeya:
  23. Steering wheel is on the wrong side......:jester:......for an American car.
  24. Gert, If you have the head off the block and you want to remove the studs you could always take a torch and heat the studs then spray them with water to cool them and make them hard after heating them up. This will usually help break the frozen studs grip and then throw the studs away and use new ones when you do the rebuild. Also use a stud extractor which grips low on the stud and provides more tourque to the studs.
  25. I don't know of any one with body work for a scratch built 7 but I can tell you that it is very easy to do it yourself once you have the frame built. I can say this because I have made all of the body work on my 7 from scratch as I also built my car from scratch. Here are some photos of that process that you might find interesting. http://picasaweb.google.com/MHKflyer52/ALotus7Replica If you want I will sell you my body work for $17500.00 and you will also get all of the other parts you need for your car along with the body work as my car is still for sale..........:leaving:
