  1. I am doing some routine checks and found the car is missing a grease fitting on the rear U-joint. My question is about finding the replacement part. The documentation I have on the 1995 Caterham indicates the rear axle is from a Morris Marina. Does this apply to the U-joint also?
  2. Rats, I signed up to go but didn't make it. Gear shift problems had me waiting for a tow truck.
  3. It's that time again, www.atlantabritishcarfayre.com Sept 7, 2024 Lotus is the featured make this year.
  4. FYI Croc, it would be driving like Morgan Freeman. Miss Daisy backed over a retaining wall. I may not buy anything new car wise, too much digital gizmos for this analog guy.
  5. I had the header powder coated then wrapped. The goal was to reduce heat transmitted to the cockpit and shield the alternator. The cockpit is now more comfortable and the plastic on the alternator isn't melting.
  6. I would insert the "beating a dead horse" GIF but I can't find it.
  7. We have all seen cars with clouded headlights, my daughter's car is one of them. So my question is what works and what doesn't? The car in particular is a 2004 Ford Focus.
  8. I've run the Dragon twice (Miata NA & 2CV). It's three and a half hours to get there for me. When I take the 7, I plan on trailering since there is no OD ratio in my car. The question I have is, where is a good and safe place to leave a truck and trailer when I'm running the Dragon.
  9. @solder_guymay be able to help out, thou I haven't seen him post lately.

  11. Anyone pondered a mounting that allowed the plate to be layed flat by aerodynamic pressure and return to vertical when stopped?

  13. The Facet 574A electronic fuel pump stopped working when I was out for a local drive on Memorial Day. I suspect the pump is original to the assembly of the car in 1997. I am the fourth owner and got the car with about 5600 miles, it's around 11,000 miles now. After recovering the car and it cooled off it did start, but it is time for a replacement pump. To look for a replacement I am not sure how much fuel flow and pressure I need to feed the 2 Webers DCOE40's, also there is a Purolator #53 fuel flow regulator between the pump and the carbs. One other factor to mention, sometimes when doing WOT acceleration from a standing start the motor stumbles around 4500 in second gear. I'm guessing fuel starvation. Let me know what my options are. Thanks y'all

  18. If it may help, there is a SV on BringaTrailer that is a CA car.
  19. I had a 1980 Dodge Colt RS, the normally aspirated version with a Weber 32/36. It was a blast and good for handbrake U-turns. Finally traded it in after 16 years and 212k miles.

  22. News alert: Winter is coming (Duh) I've got no plans for upgrades but I'm sure somewhere out in the realm plans are afoot, or at least on the Christmas wish list.
