  1. I see another satisfied "test sitter" has gotten their 7. Looking forward to seeing progress.
  2. News alert: Winter is coming (Duh) I've got no plans for upgrades but I'm sure somewhere out in the realm plans are afoot, or at least on the Christmas wish list.
  3. From the road sign I'm guessing it may be @jimmylukeii
  4. Thanks for the inputs, I have started with a dual approach, sound and stink.
  5. Looks like it's for north of the border only.
  6. *NOTE* I keep my good toys safely stored inside. I have a full-size pick-up that is kept outside and used occasionally. I discovered mouse droppings under the hood when replacing the dead battery. I am looking to get a device to keep the varmints away. Suggestions?
  7. The fuel tank isn't the only source of vapors, the carbs are vented. Mine add to the octane aroma in the garage.
  8. Since there is a copy of "the Book" it is a build it from the ground up project. Since it isn't a Lotus or Caterham you can build it into anything you desire guilt free. Welcome to the rabbit hole. Enjoy.
  9. Looks like a good time was had by all. As to the F1 car, that's the way they are supposed to sound, and I wonder how old the tires it was running on.
  10. There are fuel additives that are to counteract the ethanol. There is no-ethanol gas available, but the octane is lower that I care to use.
  11. The weather wasn't too British today. It started out wet but improved. Only two 7's this time only +20 years difference in vintage between the two cars.
  12. The Atlanta British Car Fayre is Saturday and the weather forecast is wet. Bummer, I just finishes putting the Brooklines on.
  13. I don't think fins are coming back.
  14. I've been using this 9000# lift for about 10 years. The floor is 5.5" thick. The 7 doesn't need to be on wood blocks to be lifted.
  15. Was that from a close encounter on the "Grisly Bear Blat"?
  16. A few items I have picked up over time. - RT 5 front wing - 1984 Arrows Front disk - Xflow clutch disk
  17. Several years ago, with the engine out I did several things to reduce the heat impact on the passenger area. - Power coating of the header - Wrapping the parts of the header inside the engine bay - Stick-on heat insulation to the bulkhead and down the trans tunnel Since it was all done at the same time, I couldn't say which had a greater impact, but it was a big improvement. As to moisture, the car stays inside since I don't put the hood on I avoid the wet.
  18. I've had that happen also. It's good to figure it out before you have a two part bolt.
  19. I got a set of Dunlop summer tires from Tire Rack 185/60-14. The tread wear is 200 as I remember.
  20. FWIW I used the basic stand form Harbor Feight.
  21. I'm guessing this is a crossflow with Webbers.
  22. I installed a set of these a few years ago, look and work great. Samco red coolant silicone hose set (3 hoses): Caterham Ford X/Flow 1600/1700 (burtonpower.com)
  23. This year it's on Sept 10, 2022 Atlanta British Car Fayre - Annual British Car Show
