  1. I just got back from the assisted living home my mother-in-law is moving into. I could have used a floorjack to properly assemble the bed that was delivered. :cuss:
  2. When did they issue shorts with hospital gowns?
  3. I'm interested in changing over to 3 point inertia belts. What are good US vendors? :flag:
  4. Ya' gotta love the sound.
  5. I saw it do a demonstration run at Sebring in March, I was hoping to see it race and finish at Road Atlanta this weekend. The car looks easy to wreck. Bummer.
  6. How do you say "Hey watch this" in French?
  7. Tom & Ray aka Click n Clack would give you two answers. One would echo Martin's comments about problems you may have with slightly used older cars and the concern on lack of saftey features..... on the other hand. Look at the adventure you could have driving it back yourself with your son riding shot gun. I mean shotgun, you may need it to fend of the wolves when you breakdown in the middle of nowhere and the Mounties haven't found you yet. But seriously, the car should have some good miles left in it, and someone can benefit by having it. If has had regular exercise the seals should OK, if not, you will know everywhere you have parked. Good luck and make someone happy. Carl
  8. The wiring information in my factory manual has not been that informative. I also find conflicts in colour listed and color found. Another point of confusion (me) are some of the terms used. English to American dictionary needed.
  9. Raceral, Your attention to detail is fantastic!
  10. Please tell me more... How was the RTV applied, an even layer of xx thickness or a bead of xx height. Did you go with a "snug" tightening of bolts or a specific torque value? Thanks, Carl
  11. Driving sideways... what a rush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. John, Great research and implementation. Is it legal to have that much fun? Carl
  13. What type of plastic are you using, thickness?
  14. There was turbo craze in the 1980's that didn't last. They had durability problems also. Will it be better this time around?
  15. It's good to have an open mind, if you are hard core all the time, you may miss something good. Peace

    RIP Dad

Mondo, I also know it is not easy to loose you Dad. It's hard to be prepared for this kind of event, but going without lingering is a blessing. Peace be with you.
  17. If you have a photo of what you want, check with some local race fab shops. They could give you an estimate on building one.
  18. Looks like an enjoyable way to spend a day.
  19. In GA, it depends on where the car is registered. If it is in the metro Atlanta area it will need to pass some level of emissions. If the car is registered outside this area, or is over 25 years old, no testing is required. A "kit car" is based on the motor configuration, and a simple test is specified. My car has not passed yet. Webers are NOT designed to be clean, but to make POWER! I am currently looking into conversion to FI to meet these requirements.
  20. It was a time with nerves of steel and big 'nads.
  21. Unfortunately the only think you find in the "middle of the road" these days is roadkill. That said, I lean towards the left lane.
  22. Have you noticed any changes in fluid colors? (Oil and coolant) Increased fuel consumption?
  23. If you would like to try one on for size. I have a 1995 Caterham in Roswell. Let me know.
  24. Did the Omex ECU control the spark only or was the car equiped with FI?
  25. To get more heat to exit the front of the car, I'm looking for sources for heat resistant and insulating materials to cover the header on my crossflow. Please lost links. :bigear: Thanks, Carl
