  1. I got the dreaded 404 message using that link. But, just going to http://www.heartlandallbritish.com/ worked a charm. Some great photos. Thanks.
  2. I concur. As one with only tarmac stage rally and hill climbs in Mexican mountains. What's a run-off space? Just keep it between the ditches. Except for that one time, rolling over 3 or 4 times down the mountain. Then one is glad to have a stout roll cage.
  3. "That, plus no crush zones, lap belts only, no professional chassis setup, antiquated brakes, skinny tires, high center of gravity, no roll hoops AND big power = death on wheels. " Well, to each his own. That's a bit like what I hear about the Birkin from non-enthusiasts. That thing is beautiful.
  4. Does Croc already have one? Video of him shifting madly around Spa? That's a bunch of gears. Reminds me of the old Road Ranger 10 speed, but with no double declutching.
  5. Who wouldn't love a Stanley. First car to do the ton.
  6. Since Croc is out of range, here is one from LocostUSA. Apparently the ebay sale ends today, so hurry https://www.ebay.com/itm/133133975133
  7. Well, I don't know what one can say about the Robin, except to make fun of it. No intention of snobbing the Locost side. I tried to buy 2 home-builts before I found my bargain basement Birkin.
  8. The word is out about Croc. From LocostUSA: If you have any link to the vehicle information you should put it on the usa7s.net a user called croc keeps a weekly updated list of just about all the 7 type cars for sale in USA and Canada. It's a major resource for anyone looking for 7 type car, I have sent many people over to the list who are looking for cars. Ref this car: http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=20038&sid=3b95eda04d3c4fe59c56019011ec870f (Westfield)
  9. I think you posted this on the wrong forum. To find a buyer, this belongs on the LocostUSA forum. Slap an old VW front end (air cooled Beetle) under it and call it done.
  10. Now for something a tiny bit different. For V-6 Storker drivers that think they really should have had a V8: https://www.ebay.com/itm/173987571354
  11. Oops, I suppose a "Wetsfield " may have started out as a trials car.
  12. Wetsfield hill climb / track specialist. http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=19877&sid=4bca120a14725621b7af59a7b80c02c7
  13. I tend to agree with Croc's original observation. However, I bet the forum's extended family includes some long suffering "others" whose heads have been not swollen by a bunch of silly cars.
  14. Oops. Never had trouble with photos before. Maybe my dues are delinquent?
  15. To use the Raydots, that looks like the only way. I'll probably start with something simple like the photo below (not mine) then add 2 struts if it vibrates too much.
  16. I just put Brooklands on and need mounts for my 2 side mirrors. I have Raydots that I'd like to use. I see all kinds of mounts on the web, especially tripods. But, I can not find a source. Surely everyone does not have to fabricate from scratch? Help?
  17. I also may have to change ECMs. I have a TEC 2 and again, NO SUPPORT. I have not found anyone to tune it. Probably should have bought the unused Megasquirt on Locost 7s recently. Your engine sounds awesome. Remember the key to high tech shopping: Once you buy, quit shopping or listening to others.
  18. "Look at that happy fool in that Seven." "How do you know he's happy?" "Well, by the bugs on his teeth!" Adapted from "Speed-Ball".
  19. "Love the RHD! No burning legs on the exhaust,..." Man up! I love my RWD even with the exhaust on the right side. As I can testify (wife too), you will only burn your leg ONCE! You never forget again.
  20. Love that red dash. Great job!

Don't talk like that around pony car vintage racers though. They all think they need (can handle?) 150 horses more than Parnelli Jones or Mark Donahue had back in the day.
  22. But is that not what dragster style hood scoops are for? If you can cover a big blower on a Chevy...
