  1. Well done.
  2. It pays to let both parties have a good experience. If you beat the seller down too much, you might never know what he can with-hold or give.
  3. Forget the displacement. It was a racer. It was easy to change classes by changing little things, like an engine. With the info you have, you might contact International Motor Racing Research Center. They maintain the SCCA archives. More history on a car makes it more valuable and interesting than a 100CC.s
  4. I don't care you are, that right there is pretty cool.
  5. Don't know what you need VIN wise. But on my early Birkin, the chassis number was under the rear roll bar mounts. I had to pull the roll bar to show my friendly police officer.
  6. Yes, he did it on the side. Unfortunately, not a great commercial success. Nifty little car though.
  7. Speaking of spars. If you have a trailer built, get it with the same bolt pattern as the towing unit. You might be able to have an extra spare that way, if it fits in the fenders. Only one spare means that if you have a flat and mount the spare, you then have to get the flat fixed immediately. Otherwise you're running with no spare. You can finish the day if you have another spare om hand.
  8. Seven guy takes quick photo of Rocket. Love it. Too bad they don't still make that.
  9. "My intention of this topic is to encourage opinions as to the prospects of the current Epstien situation creating a short term ..." I know so little of finances, so yield to bigger minds and pros. But, @IamScotticus, Trump, Epstein, etc. are nothing related to our current "bubble." In the end, for every famous republican caught, there will be an equal democrat. Power, money and position subvert (pervert) (corrupt?) equally. In the end it's a wash. I think the public, if watching, likes the spectacle, but won't really react in any way related to business. DJT's lewdness is already well known. Fat figures hit Bold?
  10. Step away from the keyboard.
  11. On a happier note - garage art on BAT: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/sign-301/?utm_source=dm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2025-11-09
  12. The easiest explanation for Title/No Title is that the previous owner kept the title to use on a better car. Wouldn't be the first time.
  13. I would have voted for a Polaris, as sold in their Slingshot. 2 L, 210 HP, naturally aspirated. Looks to be compact as well. Produced in Canada?
  14. " tiny bell like sound (ringeding)" OR: I had a little car sounded like that. It was outside air blowing through the heater fan; turning it; making the sound. Rather lovely, so I named the car Tinker Bell.
  15. They didn't want you to recognize a Cat with that hideous hood scoopp. They coulda had a V8.
  16. Congratulations. But wait @hahuang65, you didn't show us your vanity plate. Even if it's paper, inquiring minds want to know. I had no idea they give a paper vanity plate.
  17. Bit off: Some wheels sailing down the road are not a result of torque error. Had an interesting spate of bus wheels leaving. One across a busy "business route" and one on I.H.35 that was found 1.5 miles down the road. Lots of trouble to track down the cause. They were mounted with a proper torque wrench (XXL). Turned out the painted steel wheels were not oven cured properly. After a bit of wear, the paint gave a bit and off goes the lug nut. I wonder how easy a similar thing could occur with old alloy wheels or cheap bad metal studs.
  18. Get hold of Tom, the Birkin dealer in Colo. The flat ones will always break. I got a newer design from him that have outer bent ridges, much stronger. I suspect Scott is on the right trail about too much air leading to too much shock from the road, but the flat bar type is no good.
  19. Shouldn't have told her to wait in the car. Nice job.
  20. Scott, if only you were as pretty as that first patient, instead of like the last one.
  21. Congratulations. There's nothing like getting legit!
  22. With an original, Moss may have a lot of what you need, but a paper copy of Hemmings has everything:
  23. Well done. That looks like a real bumper. Equal to OEM!
  24. @hahuang65, my car was a Birkin, previously registered in Ill. Chassis # only, stamped under rollbar. Unless things have changed, the 30 day tag lets you drive anywhere. I got 3 in a year (the max) for the Birkin and never had an issue. We had a police force at work, so I just had a friendly cop come out and verify it. She was not assigned to any particular squad. The form just required a sworn peace officer.
