7. On certain wheels I've had to use a thin-walled socket and a breaker bar. I've also seen smaller diameter spline drive lugs to fit in the small ID of some wheels. They look like this:
8. Did 2.98 on my first try. If I try it again I could be there for a while!
9. "Thinking of cutting them in half and using a dowel to stick inside them when erecting the top" - I don't have a Rotus but that's exactly how my Birkin top frame is made. The aluminum dowel is riveted to one of the halves so it stays permanently attached, and the frame is small enough to fit in the boot.
10. I've had good luck with a Pertronix Ignitor in my '64 MGB. Been installed for appr 15 years without any issues. I think they have applications for most Lucas distributors (23D, 45D, etc), and I think they have complete new distributors to replace the Lucas unit as well. I do keep a spare breaker plate/points/condensor in the trunk just in case.

cute

Nancy says: "Thanks Mazda, that was one of the best videos I've seen!" I think it even made her cry a little!
12. Skip - That looks like the stock manifold I've seen on a Ford Focus.
13. Congrats Morgan, glad to help! I was a little surprised the Porsche didn't go for more as well. Hopefully you'll provide us with a nice shot of your son sitting in his new "toy" at some point?

15. Randy - I'm sure you probably have the weak lower ball joints (I think they had an M10 thread) that were failing on certain cars from the early 2000's. I had the lower control arms reinforced and the ball joints upgraded on my 2001 Birkin by Woody at MSI several years back. Unfortunately I don't know if he's still doing the upgrade because he no longer is a Birkin dealer. Here's a link to the installation of the upgraded balljoints: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/birkinowners/photos/album/421379067/pic/list You might want to check with Dick Brink at Texas Motor Works to see what the latest options are: http://texasmotorworks7.com/ Glad you were able to stop without a problem!
16. Welcome Troy, and I agree with Hank!
17. Thanks for posting that link Gary. I have read that in the past and was unsure if I should attach that link to every se7en he has for sale. Although I don't think we should be helping him by advertising his cars, I do think it's important to spread the word to the se7en community to be aware in potential dealings with NECCCo. I've communicated with a few people that had bought cars from him based on his website and the number of years he's been in business, and to put it mildly they were very disappointed with the results. I've visited his showroom one time in the early 90's to look at a vintage racing Bugeye and was a "little" surprised at the asking price based on the condition of the car. If the car had real race history and not vintage race history from the late 80's the price would have made more sense! Being involved with 911's for a short time I was always told to get a PPI on any car I was interested in purchasing. My recommendation to anyone thinking of buying from NECCCo would be to do the same. His reaction to asking for an independent PPI could be entertaining! There is an interesting discussion on the "lotus se7ens" mailing list concerning this car. I don't feel like I can quote some of the responses but to anyone interested in a genuine Lotus Seven I urge you to join the list. Or contact John D. at http://www.simplesevens.org/ who is an excellent resource on original Sevens. There has been previous discussion on this site concerning NECCCo as well: http://usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3327&highlight=england+classic
18. I agree with Bart that there should be no fluid in that area. Perhaps someone thought that was a convenient way to fill the T9. I decided to check it so I just pulled the gear lever off the top of my T9 and there was no fluid at all in the shifter housing. When I rebuilt my T9 that 2" cover on the back had to be removed to dissy some of the shift linkage and when I reassembled it I just put a small bead of RTV to seal it just in case. Here's a link to a T9 manual (N-type): http://biggles.net/download/Manual_Type9.pdf Here's a photo of the fill side of my T9 before I reinstalled it showing the relationship between the fill hole and the shifter housing.
19. I'd rather be seen in the Lambretta car than this one.
20. Many details don't look quite correct, but I guess that's not a surprise considering the sellers reputation. Definitely no affiliation to this one: http://www.newenglandclassics.com/cars/NE-1965-15/1959/
