  1. It was great to meet both Jeff and Al!! Had a great visit and got to check out Al's beautiful Caterham. Sorry that Jeff couldn't take his trailer back with him. I'm very happy with the trailer! It seems strong and well built and it looks perfect for my needs. The only difference between my trailer and Al's was the "bling-bling" wheels and the aluminum deck. It was a little too dark by the time I got home so I'll take some pictures tomorrow. I'm sure the reason we got home so late had nothing to do with my "navigator" and myself missing the rt 287 exit and sending us through New York City over the GW Bridge on a Saturday/holiday afternoon...UGH :banghead: Thanks again to Al for all the work he did to get the trailers built!! Bruce
  2. This is my favorite version of a V-8 powered sports car/hot rod type car. It's an HWM-Chevy called the Stovebolt Special. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1209060593_30.jpeg Bruce
  3. Sounds good. See you Saturday! Bruce
  4. Hi Al, I emailed you also , but my wife Nancy and I will be there between 8 and 8:30 Saturday morning. Look forward to meeting you and checking out your Orange Cat!! Bruce
  5. LRP's only an hour from my house and I've only missed a couple of the vintage weekends. My car will be there even if I have to tow it!! Bruce
  6. Jeff and Al, Don't know if either of you has picked up your trailer yet, but Glenn told me my trailer would be ready for Saturday pick-up. If all goes as planned I'll be picking it up Saturday AM and would love to touch base with you two if you were there. Let me know. Bruce
  7. Hi guys, Thought I'd give a quick update on my car. The progress has been slow, but I'm still plugging away :banghead: Here's the new rear trailing arm kit I got from Woody Harris at MSI: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/903478555_IMG_0105.JPG Here's the coolant overflow tank that I bead-blasted and painted with Alum-blast paint, mounted on the driver's footwell which I covered with insulation: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/903594883_IMG_0106.JPG And finally, here's the RF suspension installed but still waiting the sway-bar and brakes. The lower control arm has been reinforced along with upgraded ball joints by Woody Harris at MSI: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/748650400_IMG_0111.JPG Still lots more to do, but the good news is my new trailer should be ready for pick-up Saturday morning!! Bruce
  8. Another vote for the Odyssey 680MJ. Small in size, lightweight, and it seems like it's got enough cranking power. Bruce
  9. That's a beautiful machine Al!!

What I might do in the future: Upgraded cams and head Lowered floors Side exhaust Quaiffe LSD Lighter wheels, stickier tires It's not just a car, it's a hobby!! Bruce
  11. "Looks like an excellent deal to me It cost me MUCH more to get to that spec. Darn it, I have one already :(" My sentiments EXACTLY! And I don't even have the Quaiffe LSD... :banghead:
  12. Skip, You're doing a great job on your car. Keep up the good work and good luck at the track!! Bruce
  13. Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there!! Bruce
  14. Hey Mike, don't they have a 1,000,000 mile warranty? Maybe they'll replace them for free!! Bruce
  15. Mike, a lot of people have gone to the ITG filters, but I wanted to keep the classic K&N filter. I think I got mine here: http://www.aptfast.com/ Bruce
  16. Wow, great video, thanks for sharing!! Spa's always been one of my favorites. Bruce
  17. Welcome aboard Wile7!! Pretty car, and some nice webshot photos too! Bruce
  18. "That's really adding lightness!" If I filled up the frame tubes with helium, would it float away???
  19. "Umm .. What's holding the front end up in the air? Levitation?" Actually, I was wrenching with one hand and holding it up with the other!!
  20. "I think I worked on the car about 2 hours today, and got NOTHING done." Been there, done that... :banghead:
  21. I've been subscribing for years. Good magazine, along with the sister mag Classic Motorsports.
  22. Check this out: http://www.sonnyradio.com/F15.html
  23. Nice photo Steve! Check this out: http://lotuseleven.org/Events/Sebring2006/lotus_eleven_reunion.htm I used to see a beautiful polished aluminum Eleven at Lime Rock at the vintage races. I think it was driven by Brian McEachern and it was beautiful!!! Bruce
  24. Hi Kitcat, I bought my 2001 Birkin from Hayes Harris in 2002. I sent you a PM. Bruce
  25. Jeff - Thanks. The engine's a ZX1 Zetec out of a 95-97 Ford Contour. The only thing I did internally was install ARP rod bolts. Externally, it's got Esslinger cam pulleys/under drive pulley, Raceline water rail, Jenvey throttle bodies with an Emerald ECU, and K&N air filters. If I'm not happy with the power someday, I'll put in some Kent cams and raise the compression. Al - Nancy and I REALLY hope we get it done in time to make it to Deal's Gap!! Russ - Thanks, it's been fun. My wife prefers me playing with cars instead of out drinking and chasing women! Mazda - Your car's the "Mean Machine"! And besides, you're welding and fabricating, while all I'm doing is a little polishing and painting!! Bruce
