Bill, You can add a QR from Speedway, Summit or wherever so long as the diameter of the QR collar matches the shaft diameter. You can have a bushing machined and welded to the shaft. Or we can get you an upper shaft with the QR. Your dropped floor is on the way.

Due to a customer changing his specification we have a 420R S3 kit that will be built in week 32. Stripe extended to boot- Firecracker Yellow Includes 2.0L Duratec engine with dry sump lubrication and five speed "Miata" gearbox. The powertrain will be supplied by a third party who imports it and the cost will be deducted from the kit price. The powertrain cost is paid to the third party so legal under US Federal regulations. The powertrain will ship with the kit. This chassis has a VIN assigned and will ship late August/early September with other cars coming to us. Caterham is booked into second quarter 2022 for new orders so this will save many months of waiting! The attached pictures are of a similar chassis we just received the other day. Delivery is available via our truck/trailer at cost or we can ship crated via FedEx Freight at a 60% discount. You are also welcome to collect the kit in person. The new LED tail lights will be standard on new cars from week 35 2021 builds onwards.

Caterham has announced that due to the Sigma 1600 reaching the end of its' use by Ford they will no longer have a supply source for the Sigma. Existing orders will be honored but as of June 11, 2021 no new Sigma orders will be accepted from the USA. A replacement for the Sigma is in the works but it will likely be 2023 before it becomes available. The small inventory of unsold Sigmas will be held for UK, EU and Japanese orders as those are Caterhams largest markets and even then there are few engines unsold.

So ask your Caterham dealer to add some lamps to his next car container and the shipping will be free! If you can wait a bit you can save a lot of cash.

There is less than a 1/4" difference in ride height between the 13" and 15" tires. I agree the 310 is the "sweet spot" of Sevens if you aren't looking for eyeball crushing acceleration. He is incorrect saying a Caterham is only available as a "kit" in the US. You can get a factory built "rolling chassis" that only requires the powertrain to be installed. We handle the Federal requirement of the powertrain being sourced from a third party by having an unrelated company import and sell the powertrain to our customer. In the Cobra world some dealers have tried to use a another entity that they also own to do this and I know that California has caught one and refused to register the car causing the dealer to have to repurchase the car from the customer.

Wheels are the 14" "Minilite" style and tires are Avon 185/60. Painted centers and diamond cut lips are optional as well. Cost is very similar to a 310S. You could upgrade the cams to the 310 spec for a power bump. Caterham will not do any engine mods on this and the 40MM Jenvey's are only available on the SS 1600. The standard interior is the black leather seats, the leather interior side panels, tunnel, etc. are optional so you can have a "bare bones" interior if desired. And cycle fenders are available at no cost as well. Weight is within 25-35# of a 310. If anyone would like the options/price details email me rick@timemachinesauto.com

They are 5.75 headlamps. We are running about 15%-20% of orders spec'ing the SS1600 since it was announced last April. This one is going to the Philly area and we have another one going to the Nazareth, PA. area soon to a friend of Mario Andretti.
