  1. Only time I ever measured it was coming back from 7/7/7 - averaging around 80mph on I81 I got 32mpg from my xz2 Zetec.
  2. Sorry about the one above... Box, if you get the front's - let us know what they're like (to fit, and in use). Thanks, Steve.
  3. That's smaller than Mazda's engine!
  4. Al, injection is wonderful in a 'don't have to think about it (until it goes wrong)' kind of way. But I still miss my old twin webers - they had soul, man... :yesnod:
  5. Cheers Gert
  6. Cool. Great video quality too - what gear do you use, Gert?
  7. Almost time for a reunion ...
  8. Check this out (and note the size of the steering wheel) http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7381078.stm
  9. for vulcantire.com - that's where I got my Falken's
  10. Is it the old Find Pinto 2.0?
  11. Ed, good luck with the trip and the weather - sounds like a blast! I did a 10 day tour round Scotland nearly 20 years ago in my Sierra Cosworth and had great fun (and great weather - just lucky I guess). Look out for the sheep if you get well North :ack: L - where in the Yorkshire Dales did you live? I grew up not far from there. Steve.
  12. The filmic style is almost identical to Top Gear's - wonder who copied who... Big fun either way

    Clever plates

Saw a very attractive young blond driving round town in a convertible recently with the plate LIKE, NO Nice.
  14. Mid 30's... positively balmy (or barmy depending on your POV). Nice one, Bruce.
  15. I use a K&N HP1002 oil filter on my 147hp Zetec - good fit.
  16. Like Jerry, mine is with State Farm - bundled up with other cars and household it's about half what I was paying through Parish Heacock. 3000 mile limit I think.
  17. Thanks ED - that's an hour I owe the office! Here's one from this morning after my breakfast blat - bit shaky, but I was on the roof :ack: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/935206605_7 april 08.JPG
  18. I'm 6'1" and around 210 (on a good day...) and have the standard Cat. I kind of like the cosiness, or maybe I'm just used to it after 10 years in the saddle
  19. I have a set of jets out of Webber 40's at home - can't remember what size they are, but I'm probably not going to need them so am happy to send if you want them to play with. I used to do my set up based on the notes posted by lowflyer. I used a length or rubber tubing (one end in the trumpet, the other in your ear) to balance them on sound - which proved to be quite accurate, even if it did get some funny looks from the neighbors! PM me with an address if you want the jets. Steve.
  20. Bruce, Looks great. I might get in touch for some of the ugly info (money etc) if you don't mind? Many thanks, Steve.
  21. Congratulations Bruce (and Nancy!) Question: did you order the gearkit from BGH direct? Have I already asked you this (it's an age thing...) Steve.
  22. For some reason, I read Busa's post as "I don't know who owns the right to this butt..."
  23. And there's always this one, the original banner shot (or the basis of it, at least), and taken just before out police escort arrived... http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/399194307_blue ridge 2.JPG I know badge and headlamp reflections have been done to death, but here's a couple from the Snowshoes blat.. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2075999577_cool road.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1718743731_early sunday.JPG
  24. Here's a really odd one I found on blatchat a while back. Someone knows there way around photoshop I guess. Amusing play on one of the world's best known album cover though... http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1520551739_zebra.jpg
