  1. Yes or put a test light on the wire going to the light and see if it comes on when you press the brake.
  2. http://bringatrailer.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Honda-S2000-With-Viper-Drivetrain-620x348.jpg http://syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/4660811241.html 2001 honda s2000 viper v10 engine swap "SNIPER" 60k on odometer 14k miles on engine and transmission I'm finally selling my s2000 after owning it for over 10 years. I have another project and just don't have room for it anymore. It's in great shape and draws a crowd everywhere it goes. Very fast and reliable. I have a hood but don't use it. I like the way it looks without it. Car has a clean ny title. I'm asking $27,000 for the car -firm. I may except trades or trades plus cash. Here is a breakdown of what the car has. Engine/ drivetrain Engine is all stock(505hp/535tq) out of a 06 viper srt10 with 14k miles and is extremely clean. The transmission, harness , pcm and all other parts came from the same car. I replaced the clutch with a stage 2 exedy disc and pressure plate. The slave and clutch master are also new units from mopar performance. The rear end is upgraded to handle much more hp and torque than the oem unit. It is the inline pro r200 conversion kit with stage 5 axles, driveshaft, upgraded hubs and arp extended wheel studs. Engine electronics and fuel system The factory viper pcm runs the drivetrain and is integrated into the honda fuse boxes and gauge cluster . A deatschwerks 340lph fuel pump is installed in the factory sending unit with upgraded 3/8" fuel line Engine cooling and oiling system; The radiator is a custom sized 3" thick core sized for this engine with 2 12inch electric fans controlled by an adjustable temperature fan switch. It has a 160 degree thermostat installed. The oil system is mostly stock with the exception of an oil filter relocation kit and added oil cooler. Exhaust; The headers are modified short tubes. It has dual 3" exhaust going to large obx mufflers. Brakes/suspension/wheels Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors, hawk pads, goodridge stainless lines Rs coilovers with custom spring rates Xxr rims ,candy copper plate centers, 19x8 front, 19x10 rear, drag lug nuts Body; Full ap2 conversion consisting of 2007 front bumper, oem honda lip spoiler, headlights with 8k hids, rear bumper, led tail lights, oem honda hardtop. Clear fender side markers. Has full engine bay shave and full wire tuck, abs delete with brake line tuck.
  3. Its good to see you got the front fenders back on the correct sides of the car. They looked so wrong in the earlier picture.
  4. http://www.flipdocs.com/showbook.aspx?ID=10011589_566606 Its on page 74. It looks like the Cowell car.
  5. Yes. It wouldn't take much of a side wind to take the car off the track. They only reduce the front end lift already present. There is no down force. I think the car might do close to 150 mph if I could get the nose to stay down but I don't have large enough attachments to try it as it stands. On a Lotus club trip earlier this year we ran at 100 - 120 mph for awhile on some really deserted back roads with gentle sweepers and the car felt well planted and controllable.
  6. The chin spoiler and whiskers raised the scary speed from 120 to 135 mph on my Caterham. At that speed it felt like a strong fart would put me off the track. I don't go there anymore, I hold the straight speeds to 125 or less and I do a lot less track days than in the past.
  7. Bad engine mounts can cause shifting problems and could be why your 3rd gear wouldn't go into gear. The engine and trans torque over and the shifter goes with them. 3rd gear is no longer where your hand thinks it is and it won't go into gear. The mounts look like the standard Caterham mounts which aren't that expensive.
  8. I know that in anything more than a very minor hit I'm going to get squashed like a bug. I have had friends refuse a ride in the Caterham because it doesn't have air bags and all the rest of the safety equipment. I just drove home in a Hyundai Elantra rental car. The A pillar is so thick that I lost a whole pickup truck in it and almost changed lanes into it. My former Suzuki SX4 was even worse. The little "wing" window was totally worthless.
  9. Bruce, I can't see anything about your car that loses appearance points to the Donk, none at all. I think the Donk is the least attractive of all the major clones of the Lotus 7. Just my opinion and I'm sure there are others that think the Donk is beautiful.
  10. THESE ARE ACTUAL COMPLAINTS RECEIVED BY "THOMAS COOK VACATIONS" FROM DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS: 1. "I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local convenience store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts." 2. "It's lazy of the local shopkeepers in Puerto Vallarta to close in the afternoons. I often needed to buy things during 'siesta' time -- this should be banned." 3. "On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don't like spicy food." 4. "We booked an excursion to a water park but no-one told us we had to bring our own swimsuits and towels. We assumed it would be included in the price." 5. "The beach was too sandy. We had to clean everything when we returned to our room." 6. "We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. Your brochure shows the sand as white but it was more yellow." 7. "They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax." 8. "No-one told us there would be fish in the water. The children were scared." 9. "Although the brochure said that there was a fully equipped kitchen, there was no egg-slicer in the drawers." 10. "We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the taxi drivers as they were all Spanish." 11. "The roads were uneven and bumpy, so we could not read the local guide book during the bus ride to the resort. Because of this, we were unaware of many things that would have made our holiday more fun." 12. "It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica to England. It took the Americans only three hours to get home. This seems unfair." 13. "I compared the size of our one-bedroom suite to our friends' three-bedroom and ours was significantly smaller." 14. "The brochure stated: 'No hairdressers at the resort.' We're trainee hairdressers and we think they knew and made us wait longer for service." 15. "When we were in Spain, there were too many Spanish people there. The receptionist spoke Spanish, the food was Spanish. No one told us that there would be so many foreigners." 16. "We had to line up outside to catch the boat and there was no air-conditioning." 17. "It is your duty as a tour operator to advise us of noisy or unruly guests before we travel." 18. "I was bitten by a mosquito. The brochure did not mention mosquitoes." 19. "My fiancé and I requested twin-beds when we booked, but instead we were placed in a room with a king bed. We now hold you responsible and want to be re-reimbursed for the fact that I became pregnant. This would not have happened if you had put us in the room that we booked."
  11. Something is missing, is there supposed to be a picture or link in there somewhere?
  12. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/formula1/29142591 Apparently the rumors at Monza were true. He has "retired". More info on his departure and compensation. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ferrari-president-montezemolo-leave-company-071747568.html
  13. Emerald green 1999 Miata with black interior with a #1 on the doors.
  14. Wow, I wish I had known you would be there. Do you have any of your pictures of the event available for public viewing? Did you get a chance to drive the new ND?
  15. 1,932 Miatas showed up for the three day event. Unfortunately my car wasn't one of them. I did get to do my track day sessions in a turbo charged Miata a friend was kind enough to let me use. My Miata pedal car did make it and if you squint you can see it in the middle of the hyphen between MX and 5 in the video. helicopter view of 1,200 Miatas spelling out MX-5 and 25. http://autoweek.com/video/car-life/mazda-miata-world-record Overall event video with some footage of the new generation Miata to be released as a 2016 mode.
  16. It a synthetic blend, I'm no expert but I think it should be compatible. I've put it in many transmissions that had normal 90 weight. They were bottom drainers but some is retained in the transmission. The MTL is a little lighter and recommended for street use, the MT-90 is thicker and recommended for track use although I use it in my Miata and Caterham (Miata engine and transmission) on the street.
  17. Loaded for bear!
  18. I have had very good luck using Redline MTL or MT90 for baulky syncros. You might try a refill before you pull the trans.
  19. The video in post #3 clearly talks about one engine to power the front wheels and one to power the rear wheels. I looked into the 4WD Tiger Z100 before I bought my Caterham. A shop in Longmont was sort of a dealer for Tiger specializing in their race cars. They gave me a brochure of all the Tiger products at the time and in there they list the Z100 as 4WD. I tried to buy one but they got word back that Tiger would not sell the Z100 in the USA due to possible liability problems.
  20. The Tiger Z100 used to be available in England. It has two bike engines in tandem, one drives the front wheels and the other the rear. No connection between the two engines other than the wheels on the road. The video shows how the transmissions can be shifted together or even separately and run in two different gears.
  21. A neighbor down the street who builds Cobras and GT-40s (sometimes from scratch) is building a Superlite SLC. He is highly skilled and has made numerous changes to the car while building it. He is building it for his wife for both street and track use. Its his first foray into Chevrolet powered cars and IIRC the engine is a 376/525 crate engine. I will stop by and ask what his experience with the company has been and get some pictures. The billet suspension pieces on the car are works of art.
  22. My 2004 Caterham is registered in Colorado as a Kit. This exempts me from emission inspections. We don't have safety inspections in Colorado although before I could license it the highway patrol had give it a roadworthy inspection. It was a cursory inspection. When he saw the 3" exhaust pipe coming out of the engine compartment he had me fire it up to hear how loud it was. He listened to it on idle and I asked if he wanted me to rev it up and he said no, just shut it off.
  23. Plenty of room in the main shrine, er, hall, er, display area to carve off room for a killer shop. If you can afford the $4M for the place you could afford to build a separate shop on the grounds.
