Phoenix, Arizona --(Ammoland.com)- McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing and McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories. At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possibly save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business.” “That is correct” he says. I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?” “You have to do what you must” he said. “So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?” Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say. I think it is import for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms to know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’s political position I can not in good conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products. Before you spring for a rebuild of the engine keep in mind there are lots of Duratec engines out there in the junkyards. A low mileage engine will be much cheaper than an overhaul and you can install it yourself.

Try rotating the nozzle a bit to one side or the other. It affects how the gas splashes back to shut of the nozzle. We don't have the fume tubes here, just a round splash guard.
-
I have to run the nozzle on the lowest setting and sometimes pull it back a little from full insertion. Its a PITA and takes some time to fill it up.

Mike, The visit to the Shelby Museum was well liked. Kent showed up with his Ford GT so we could compare it to the two original GT40s on display. John B. also showed up with his Caterham SV to join us for the drive. We ended up with three Caterhams, one Ford GT, a WRX and a Denali on the drive. The drive went up Left Hand Canyon, across the Peak to Peak highway and down St. Vrains canyon with a stop at Smokin Dave's BBQ. One of the people in the Denali was a young woman from Scotland. She doesn't drive but asked for a ride in the Caterham. She took the passenger seat from Boulder to Ward. I was a little concerned that she might freak out on me so I told her if I made her nervous, tell me and I will slow down. I started off fairly easy but traffic was light and the pace accelerated. I kept checking with her and she kept giving me a thumbs up so I kept going. On one decreasing radius curve the rear stepped out a bit but was easily caught. I looked over at her and she laughed and that that was great. At the end of the day she told me that was the most amazing experience she had ever had. I found out why she doesn't drive, she rolled a car with some friends on board 3 years ago and has never felt comfortable enough to drive again. After lunch I was leading Kent in the GT and we took Hygiene Rd. back. I had blasted through the first 4 gears and then settled in at about 60 or so and wasn't paying attention to the mirrors. There was a sudden roar and the GT passed me like I was in reverse. That definitely got my heart rate up a bit. Here's a couple of pictures from the start, sorry no pictures of the Ford GT or the museum cars.

It would be interesting to see the maintenance record for this car. It would give an indication of the life cycle for some of the major wear components such as wheel bearings, CV joints and the like. Although it still has the original engine and gearbox, it didn't say whether there were any overhauls or parts replacement. 157k track miles is an astounding figure when you consider a track mile is equal to somewhere between 5 and 10 road miles.

Se7ens make great touring cars. Check out this thread for a group of Se7ens hooning around the Black Hills last summer. http://usa7s.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5889&page=14 Yes, a couple of cars had some minor problems but all were fixed enroute and we had a great time (even if I had to do it in my Miata instead of the Caterham). Some of the Se7ens were driven from southern California and Canada, others were trailered to Wyoming and driven from there.

Not nuts at all. You need to drive or ride in as many as possible to see what suits you best. I'm sure you will hear from some NJ owners with offers to check out their cars.

Bessie and Al, Good to hear from both of you! Also good to hear you and your family are alive and well. I had dealings with FEMA after the Northridge earthquake and know what you are going through. Never again will I accept money from them. Let me know when the happy reunion is ready to take place and we'll plan a proper party to celebrate. -
Husband Down A husband and wife are shopping in their local Target. The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart. “What do you think you're doing?” asks the wife. “They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans” he replies. “Put them back, we can't afford them” demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping. A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket. “What do you think you're doing?” asks the husband. “It’s my face cream. It makes me look beautiful,” replies the wife. Her husband retorts: “So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price.” He never knew what hit him.

If you add in the labor costs you are getting close to a new kit in price. Why not just get a new one, transfer your engine and transmission and any other goodies not trashed in the crash and then part out the rest? I think you might come out ahead of the game and have a fresh, non-repaired frame. -
Not what I expected it to look like. http://www.retronaut.co/2012/04/a-l-f-a-4060-hp-1914/

Any time, although it seems tame compared to my Seven. The vent rings on the Miata are engraved although it is no longer running 15 psi.

Not very well sometimes. A few years ago I had my Miata at a CECA (Colorado Exotic Car Association) track day. There was a guy there with a dedicated Mustang race car. This was a horsepower track and I was passing him on the straights and he was slowing me down in the corners. Their events are wave by passing on the straights only. After the first session he came over and demanded to see the V8 engine in my Miata. I told him it was just a four banger and he wouldn't believe me. Played him along a bit then opened the hood. He looked at it for a bit and turned and walked away muttering just loud enough for me to hear: God damned four banger, just a God damn four banger. After the next session he came back for another look. Didn't say a word and went off and loaded his car back on the trailer and left. Another time at that same track with CECA a Viper driver asked for a ride in the Miata. On the warm up lap I went into a corner called Widow Maker at a reasonable speed, late braking to warm up the brakes. I heard a gasp and saw his foot head for a non-existent brake pedal. He also pulled the upper end of the arm rest out of the door. I looked at him with a WTF expression on my face and he said he thought he was going to die. I said wait till the next lap when the tires and brakes are warm. He asked me to let him out after the second lap. Four times over the years I've had people pull that arm rest out. Good thing its only a 50 cent plastic part to fix.

Here's the plan. Meet at my shop in Erie at 9 AM on April 28th for tire kicking and socializing. Leave at 10:30 and drive to the foothills for lunch. After lunch we will carve a few canyons. Please RSVP to skipcannon@msn.com for a head count for lunch. Russ: bring her along and rent a cabin in Estes Park. Have a romantic evening by the fire place, fine dining and view the elk and listen to them bugle.

Exactly what I was thinking as I watched the video. Hopefully you had some better laps when just the pace car was ahead of you. Did the exchange with the Porsche driver after the event get captured on video?

Nice cage. How difficult would it be to remove for street use and install again for track days or is it even possible?
