  1. Dave have you thought about opening a shipping service? I got the pump already!...that was quick shipping, must have been delivered by a se7en! :7drive: thank you!
  2. it's sitting there as if to say "lets go out and play!" nice car..
  3. Wow,,,thats allot of pulleys!
  4. Nice...i am still learning our se7en a bit,,,but i can hear the song of the cone siren calling. it seems this little 1600 x-flow has settled into a nice rythem the more i drive it. i am a little worried the clutch isnt up to what it needs to be though. Nice to see a lineup of nice cars though!
  5. Wow....for us it's completely diffrent..Mary and I fight in the morning to see who gets the chance to drive it!!:boxing: This weekend was our oldests graduation party, and mary took out various members of her family in it. :7drive: Gee everyone LOVED it..and Mary had a very warm smile returning from each of her little jaunts...matter of fact after a ride her uncle said "wow she really knows how to drive that thing doesnt she":hurray: ((hey Gary, was that YOU we saw from our sailboat on Atwood lake last saturday in formation??..3 low wing RV4 types flying around))))
  6. very nice, it has that awesome vintage look to it..sweet.
  7. awwwesome...my kingdom for that kind of shifting..
  8. First see if theres a sender unit in the gas tank already. if not perhaps you can easily (well sorta easily it is a Birkin...) order the sender unit, and gauge? If the sender is already installed then simply get a gauge from (fill in the blank) aftermarket gauge manufacture.. The other option might be to look at one of the aftermarket fuel cell manufactures. They have universal senders and gauges you can install and calibrate. ...well..then theres the stick with marks method..
  9. does it have a standard birkin gas tank?
  10. :iagree: taking a ride/drive is probably the best answer..Before we bought one, we had the opportunity to ride in a few..it showed us about any of these awesome machines would be great to have. The people here are some of the most generous we have found anywhere..
  11. So i drive the se7en into work again today...bundle up for the ohio anti global warming climate..:skep: a gal i work with comes up and ask's if thats my little yellow go cart she saw me driving.. ((go cart??)) well yes...i had showed her pictures of the car a couple weeks back, but she says...she didnt realize it was so tiny. She thought it was a big race car like on TV,,not a little go cart. I offer to take her for a ride at lunch and she just laughs.. she comments i must be a very very brave man to drive a car like that..((brave??)).
  12. not unless Bonnie is driving..then it's really tough keeping your eyes on the road.. hehehe
  13. i have to say...this is the first se7en i have seen...ithat is asthetically wrong. it's just sorta wrong. ...but thats my opinion.
  14. sweet looking ride..
  15. well..we just bought a honda lawnmower, and have a honda outboard on our sailboat..
  16. shades of old, yaller.....very cool, lots of pride there
  17. wow....its sad...but it's coming! i am paying 4.00$ gal for premium for the se7en and mary's wrx subaru.. hmmm..maybe a big wind up spring? ..maybe i can convince mary we need a very fuel efficient zetec...hehehe. our sailboat doesnt take much...but..the poor powerboaters are going to be sitting at the dock this year.
  18. Ok guys and gals...long weekend right??...lets put some rubber on the road and smiles on our faces! we had a great little run with a yamaha crotch rocket into work this morning...we even waved each other good day at the exit! those little aero fins and license plate spoiler works pretty well over 80 mph...they even work well over.....uhh...faster. . everyone have a safe weekend!!
  19. Sold!!... Dave, give me an address and we will send a check.. it cant be worse!!, and i can clean it up and give it a try.
  20. well, the birkin original oil gauge is in KPA's...and if my calc's are close, about 13 PSI warm and at 3.7k rpm's... to me thats low. i would like to see at least 20 psi at the very very least. i have usually run around 30 psi on my race motors..or gotten nervous.
  21. YEahhhh BaBy!!! This is totally Rad duuuude.. If i had a collection of 3 or 4 se7ens...(and the Ginetta was done) i could see this in our barn! this guy asked himself..."what would peter max do?" we love it...

  23. Besides dave Bean does anyone know where i can get a rebuilt/new/like new stock oil pump for our 1600 x-flow ford?? Our oil pressure is uncomfortably low and i want to start with the easiest solution first. It's supposed to be new "crate" engine i am hoping all the bearings are in good shape. The existing pump i belive (according to the kent ford rebuild book) is the vane type and i would want the lobe type instead. I cant find any details about increasing the pressure by adjusting the relife valve or anything. (we made the 1275 sprite pressure adjustable!) it does have constant pressure..but just really low. We tried the usual venues (local parts stores and ford dealerships) D.B .has them, just looking for a deal if we can..
  24. mary visited Branson one weekend...isnt that the capitol of Blue hairs?
  25. saw this one...but i dont think it's what you want.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Pinto-Distributor-New-in-the-box-1971-72-1600-CC_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ34205QQihZ004QQitemZ140234073048QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
