  1. I looked at that first thing myself, and I'm going to disagree of your assessment of the bonnet angle. Cat nose heights vary from car to car, but my observation of Cat bonnet angles is they are nearly horizontal, especially on a DeDion. This requires some proof. The front bonnet height on my 96 is 6.25" and the and the scuttle is 9". A Lotus nose height is generally an inch shorter 5.25". The inch difference is more noticeable depending on the rear ride height which I believe S2s & 3s (live axles) ride ride higher in rear. With John's silhouette being perfectly horizontal, and to have the bonnet angle it does, is evident to me this is based on a S2 profile, or an artistic library has been taken. Regardless, I think the lines of the car are very good but the silhouette lines could be thicker or darker to pop better for smaller thumbs, etc. Yes it's a ridiculous argument. But it's fun.
  2. I like the flares/clams (only Americans call them clams), but lets face it, flares are too per-war looking for the modern tastes. Think MGTD. Cat certainly drppped the clams adapting to the consumer tastes as well as competition best practices as allowed. The cycle wings became the standard equipment since the late 90s. After all, initially the flared wings were only a compromise to get into the American market. It is a fortunate coincidence the flares do compliment the 7 very well, IMO. But I would prefer to race with cycle wings.
  3. What is the pipe diameter?

  5. It wasn't me, but I remember the incident.. A throttle cable on a Crossflow, I think, came lose and grounded on the fan switch or water temp terminals. Result was a fire. I have heard of the R clips on the Triumph LF14 caliper guide pins coming off. Weber DCOE inspection cover wing nuts need drilled and safety wired.
  6. This has my vote so far
  7. Then might as well have a steering wheel and standard windscreen
  8. I think @Slonie silhouette is better there as it's a bolder line. It will pop
  9. I like this if there were a 7 silhouette under the USA, left of the 7
  10. You are not adding lightness
  11. Solid...I like how the headlamp gets in there
  12. I suppose there isn't enough market for the small carbs for Holley to stay in the game.
  13. Wonder why Holly even bothered with the small carbs?
  14. Looking for alternatives to the common 23/36, 38 DGAS. I can buy those new. Would like to find a new old stock 32DFM, or gently used take off, or "it was working when I removed it". Intended to use on a 1600 xflow
  15. I think the left side car has the 7 covering too much of the cockpit, whereas the right side car didn't take too much from the lines of the car.
  16. Build a silhouette from this the photo is copyrighted.
  17. The leaping 7 of se7ens.net is my favourite. A few years back I tried to get a response from the list admin by replying sending to the admin email. The response was from one of the principals, who stated the other founder was no longer among us, and he didn't realize the list is still alive. I didn't have any get any progress on the ownership of the graphic, but it's been so long, I can't imagine there would be any objection of its use for a club this large. All 20 of you. The list also has a shortcut icon whatever it's called in HTML world. And I still can't back into my old account there.
  18. Another BRG watch. They say limited to 100 pieces. But I don't see why that's necessary for $2K wtist candy. It's hand wound gorgeousness. https://usd.farer.com/products/moritz-green?_kx=44HFIOYc5-gxwwDlpmm_8gaxv7PdoZazYN6zqlSYwTVvoTMYPf0b09Qhj4IZnctl.Yj8jLG Anyone have a Captian Cook to sell?
  19. @theDreamerWhat's on the back? Is it a caxton?
  20. Perhaps a serif 7 more like the Caterham?
  21. Well, put it here and we will try to help But you did say "suitable". I have more suggestions in 185s. More later.. Or are you wanting to stay closer to 155mm?

  23. Yes. more pounds per contact sq inch. Which in a 1,200 Lb car, shouldn't be spread too thin. Not on a road anyway. But then, low pressure wide tires can absorb a lot of bounce and vibration. Marshmallow wheels.
  24. Progress?
