  1. Hey, Adam; Do you have any pictures of your new car to share? I'm sure others besides myself are interested........since the 7 community is smallish and tight-knit, any new car on the road is of interest.
  2. I think it needs a larger steering wheel......doesn't quite fill the whole driver's area.

    Which car ?

As I was scrolling down the photos a thought came to me that some shots could have been taken from the History Channel's "Life After People" series.

Sounds very similar to the l-tryptophan debacle of the '80s, IIRC. Being an amino acid and safe for consumption, I used to use it most nights as a sleeping aid and have never suffered any adverse effects. Then along comes the govment banning its use, but just a few months ago wandering through the health food and vitamin store (I'm a huge believer in Vibe) I noticed that it was again available. I don't know how long it was banned, but happy that it's back. With pleasure, 7evin, I'll be happy to sign your petition and wish you the best in your pursuit.

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is an ear candle? I've never heard the term before, but at 3/4" dia. and 10" long it obviously, at least as I see it, doesn't have anything to do with an ear. I can only surmise that it's an aromatic wax candle of some sort. I'd appreciate the enlightenment.......
  7. Thanks to the Internet I seem to have opened up a large can of worms which makes my buying search a bit more confusing. I watched the Google clips and demos and am ready to buy but can't seem to make a simple decision. They all look physically identical and share the same electronic specifications, but some manufacturing questions occurred to me: Amazon's have AEE embossed on the front case regardless of the make (Smart, IDW,Serfi,Mini DV) while I've seen others with no front lettering, and some have plastic cases while some have metal cases. They all come w/a 2gb (Lexar?) card, but one demo suggested replacing the Lexar w/a Sandisk (8gb) to eliminate the "jerkiness" of motion. Am I making a mountain out of a molehill or does any of it really matter........just pick one and go with it? I'd guess they're all made in China anyway, but is there one favored over another in regards to quality?

    Caterham

Adam (Boss351) you have a PM.
  9. Speaking of which, how much and when are our dues due for this upcoming year? I don't remember reading anything about renewals after our initial memberships. Thanks!
  10. Check out eBayer "jasonmunn" who's listing one (item #320468282668) expiring in 6 days 4 hours from the UK. Current price bid is 6 gbp + 10 gbp shipping ($25.71 usd). It's the white 27MHz version. I got the yellow 40MHz version through the CCC's group buy. Fun to run around my circular driveway but a little disappointed with the inexpensive plastic controller....the right/left steering stick is twitchy and the reverse stick doesn't return to the neutral position, but for the money a pretty fun model to have. I'm going to take the controller apart sometime soon and try to fix the sticky reverse. If you get it, you'll have a bunch of fun.
  11. Hey, Martin; I notice you have an Oregon "tree" plate on your dually. Are your vehicles registered up here and you have dual residency w/ CA? When we bought our motorhome in '98 and living in Santa Barbara we also had a proper OR address, so were able to title and register it up here even though we were mostly residing in CA. A year later we left Santa Barbara after 43 years and made the move lock, stock, and barrel up here to GP. If my memory serves me, don't you have ties in Newburg?

    Sweet Revenge

Love it!!!!!!!! Way to go.....bet United suits loved it ,too. Great way to get satisfaction in our world of corporate roadblocks.
  13. Thanks a bunch, guys......really appreciate it!!!!!!!
  14. My car is registered & titled as an '02, even though the build wasn't started until the spring of '03 and completed (delivered) in June of '03. The "kit" (chassis) came into the country in Nov. '02. My VIN's 10th digit is a 2 and the 15-17th are 513. I know this was discussed earlier quite some time ago, but the "205 HP" Zetec in my car only has the following numbers stamped on the lower left side of the block: 1R139573784593120. I think it's a June'01 motor, but I'd sure like to find out what Ford it came out of and how many miles were on it before Caterham got a hold of and tuned it to their spec. The builder didn't know, but just installed what was Denver supplied. Perhaps a call to Denver with a request for an archive search? Any help you all can offer will really be appreciated! Thanks much!
  15. Ron, I posted contact info for you on the CCC website but forgot to invite you to contact me through either of these 2 forums, if you'd care to. Feel free!
  16. jlumba81, I PM'd you with my contact info for your friend's benefit. Did you receive it?
  17. Hey, Jerry; Can you tell me if the guy pictured in the last photo with the yellow Berkeley is by chance Jamie Pfeiffer from Santa Barbara, Ca? Jamie's been a Berkeley gearhead all the years I've known him. Every year I used to go to the Monterey Historics, Jamie was there racing one of his machines. The photo really looks like him after my not having seen him for at least 10 years. If so, I'll definitely try to reconnect with him. Great guy and lots of fun.
  18. To add to the discussion, I used to tie down my Titan FF with ratchet straps around each slick at the 4 corners and never had a problem, nor did anyone ever explain why I shouldn't tie down by that method or suggest another way. When I tow the Cat I continue to tie down the same way. I have folding "D" rings flush mounted directly in front and behind each tire with the strap cinched over the tire and between the two rings. Even with cycle fenders on the front I don't have a problem placing the straps around the tires. Anybody care to comment on why I shouldn't tie down this way? I'd sure like some opinions, as I'd sure not like to do any damage to the suspension or any where else I haven't considered. Thanks in advance!
  19. Spotted this one a few days ago on a woodcutter's beater 3/4 ton with a load of firewood: "I May Be An Old Dog, But I Can Still Bury A Bone"
  20. I'm almost sure the color is Caterham yellow. Without a side-by-side of my car to compare, it's awfully close.
  21. I, also, am very interested in the graphics she has produced and would like to know if/when she'll be taking orders. Very nice! Hopefully, there won't be any copyright issues or non-competing agreements with her former employer to have to deal with. I wish her the very best and hope this interest can come to fruition.
  22. Maybe I'd should leave well enough alone, but the pictures hurt my eyes.....I can't and won't view them again.....sorry!
  23. I think the "metal hanging down" is the nosecone slanted down in one of the previous photos of the front from the same sequence. My observation, but my wife says I am "occasionally" wrong.
  24. Gorgeous designs, welding, and aesthetics.........works of art!
  25. silencer/UK = muffler/US ?
