  1. Let Adrian go off and design a sailboat for the America's Cup. I feel all the silly rules in F1 are boring him and me.
  2. Aluminum+Aluminum= anti-sieze

  6. Skip, Just read the engine had a melt down, would have been nice to fire it up without a rebuild. Oh Well !!! I think it looks cool stock, wash, wax, road legal and enjoy till it falls apart. Which hopefully will be many years down the road...

  9. Mike, The bar is one that DaveD had made for our S1s. It's tall, but I did a broomstick test on my own. I'm not that far under it.LOL.... I would say you may have the 4 wires crossed on your Prodigy. Mine took 5 min. to hook up on my GMC Envoy, and has worked great every time. It may be the VW is fighting back somehow.....

  13. Just got off the phone with Croc for our monthly meeting about all things that are good in the world. Sounds like Tom and Croc are putting the final game plan together. Croc said their first rule will be , anyone that shows up on the 4th weekend with a V8 in in a 7. Will start from the back of the grid and have to pull a 2ton sled . I'm not trying to start any shit here, I'm just laying down the FACTS.....
  14. Hi Bruce, When the date is final, I would like to enjoy one of your great blats.... Steve
  15. I agree with Mike. That was the first thing that came to mind. Then the motorhead part of me kicked in, and I wondered how much downforce was being made. Great 7, glad to see a nice happy ending...... Because we all like a " Happy Ending".......
  16. From what I have read over the years, the stock Zetec oil pump is cast. Castings get fatigued over time and crack. So once the crack grows it gives the oil pump shaft room to move around and its self-destruction takes place. We have huge cast pumps at work, that are spun by 500hp electric motors. If they let loose , its at start up at a much lower rpm. I'm trying to find where I read max rpm for a Zetec oil pump is 6400. The pump is the Big weak link in the very well built Zetec engine... Hope this helps... Steve
  17. Just think, I have front row seats to this Maddness.... Xcarguy bring lots of popcorn...
