  3. Good Work Shane, Now you have a year to get yourself back in proper working order. Put the Red Rocket back together, pick up your Dad and join us again for the fun and games at NJMP next July 4th... I will be missing you and Dad next weekend !!!!!!!!
  4. Bob, Go to the Speed Channel and there's a link to Fox Sports 2 . I've been watching it all day.. Enjoy it ... Steve
  5. Hi Shane, I think you gave us a reality check, as we know there's nothing as fun as a track day with friends. But this reinforces that bad things can and do happen. Just yesterday , out doing prep work for the July 4th track weekend, I found myself overlooking a few things that I thought were no big deal. After reading your posts, you have put the boot to my rear , and will really give the old S1 a proper once over. Glad your feeling better and we'll miss you on the Holiday weekend for sure.... All the best, Steve
  6. Sorry for being late to the game. The group of wires that run out from the bottom of the dashboard, next to the transmission.A flat on the transmission bolt was hitting two wires, one being the fuel pump wire and I had to remove the seats and tunnel to get to it. Really fun time !!! Dave , I'm going to remove the oilpan skid pan and see how the temps do at NJMP. I'll reinstall it after the event.... Good Luck to all, even you Croc !!!! LOL
  7. Hi Croc, Mine would be a GMC Envoy, with AWD if needed. If I can't beat you I'll crash you..LOL Dave's van would be the most fun on a wet track.....
  8. Hi Steve, Also staying at the track. I like to watch the crazy motorcycle guys run their last session from the balcony.. Safe trip out to Nu Gursie, Steve
  9. Good news that your up and running, I'm looking forward to getting out at NJMP with you. Keep it together for the 4th Please..... LOL

  16. Nice clip , Thanks Dave and Bev !!!!!!!!
  17. All excellent points !!!! All I said to a friend is, " That's a cool looking block" Next I know we're loading it up to my house.... I would really have to do Major surgery to the S1 and I don't think I could do that.. Storker ????????
  18. Hi Shane, Thanks for helping me with identifying this block. It's a complete engine, that someone took apart to have a look at. Why you would take apart something that runs ok is something I don't get. I'll let you know how far this crazy idea goes. Hope all is great on your side, Steve
  19. Can any of you LS engine owners help me identify this block. A friend said this block would be crazy in my S1. This kind of transplant would be a lot of work, as it would mean new trans, driveshaft and rearend. Plus a lot of engineering on my part to get all this to fit. If it will fit.... So I'll start off with what block I have.... Thanks Steve
  20. Mark, The 888 is a great tire to fit to your Birkin..
  21. Coffee and vintagewheels.com go good together... What a great way to burn up the morning..LOL
  22. speedwagon, Thanks for you input. I'm sure most of us are aware that this problem can happen on any car. I am aware of the master cylinders on the early cars. My S1 is at the end of the production run ,so I never had that problem.
  23. Hi Shane, What brand of pads are you using and what compound. I'm due for pad replacement and have used Wilwood pads before. I would think it's time for new wheel bearings also. I also got caught up watching your in the wet videos you reposted from NJMP today.. big fun. Thanks.
  24. All this cold weather driving talk has me ready for spring already.... Here's something to keep us going !!!! Enjoy and Happy Holidays
