Dennis, Two very good cars. Good luck with what ever you get. :7drive: Steve

Hi Dennis, I happen to have a S1 sitting in the garage waiting for the nice weather. I was going to sell it , but with the nice weather coming , that's not going to happen. The silver S1 has been for sale for a few month's. They had a cool green and yellow one for sale but it was sold quickly. Thinking about getting one?????? They are great cars. Steve

Hi All, Starting this season, a standard ECU, built by McLaren , must be used by ALL teams. And driver aids are a thing of the past. All the F1 people claim that the cars will be harder to drive, but the races will be better. Time will tell, Sucks no Indy this year, Thanks to Bernie Eccelstone. Happy Easter, Steve

Skip, Good stuff, looks like you had the place to yourself. Thats a kick-butt 7 you have . Steve

Hi, The real fun is Tig welding stainless steel or 5% chrome and 9% chrome in 12" 525 wall. Like I did for the last 10 hours. The best advice I can give someone is , Use the correct wire. It easy to say ,Oh this will work . Not the case for 100% x-ray, when each past will get a PT test. Have fun, Steve

Hal, Good luck with your new engine, Looks sweet !! Steve

Hi Martin, I have seen Tom drive his 7, he does it Very well. And better yet he is a good guy, never had an offer for a ride in someone's car during Timed runs, but Tom made the offer !!! And Roman took him up on it , and loved it. My car is in D-Mod, My formula ford used to be in D-Mod !!!!! Tom and Roman checking the fuel in the booster rockets !!!!!

Roman, I am trying to find out if I am going to get my ass handed to me by one yellow 7 and a black one at Philly's auto-X this summer ???? :banghead: :banghead: Steve

Roman, Love that vid of the rear movement, no not really. Glad you have sorted out the issues, because you have a nice seven, and I want a ride in it. See if you can get some miles on it,and shake it down I ALWAYS do a nut and bolt check, and have found things that can be deadly. Then we can run our cars out to the KIT car show and enjoy all your hard work. Does your car feel faster than Tom's? Well Done Roman, Steve :hurray:

HI, Weclome to 7 ownership, and two at the same time. Your Westy is a sharp looking car, and I would think someone here will scoop it up. Good luck with the S1, post alot of photo's and let us know how it runs. Steve Novelli

If you had to get your first seven all over again...
S1Steve replied to slngsht's topic in General Sevens Discussion
The biggest factor was getting my 6'3" 240 pound body in a 7. I wanted a very early Lotus 7 when I started looking. I was walking around Indy, the weekend of the 2000 F1 race and came across the Superformance booth and they had one of the first S1's sitting there. So I jumped in and found it to have a lot of room for a 7. And I thought the S1 looked good. And when the time came to buy ,I always came back to the S1 as being my top pick. And I am happy to say , I still feel it was the right 7 for me , and the price was OK. A Stalker was my second pick, Lotus 7, not a good fit for me. Buy what makes YOU happy !!! Breezy, This is a non- svt engine and these are shots of belt tensioner, and housing. Hi, When I was looking for a 7 in 2002, that was the price for a new one, with a stock Zetec without any aftermarket TB. I like to know more about the " Alternate Computer Chip" 210- at 6500, 260 at 8000 rpm, WOW !!! On all motor, with no help from a Turbo, Supercharger,ect... I'd like to buy just the engine !!!

KitCat, Spring Carlisle and Fall Carlisle are the real big events. If it were made for a car , you would have a good chance to find it at those events. I have seen parts for cars I never heard off. The Kit Car show is alot smaller, and no waiting on the exit ramp of the PA turnpike for an hour or more, and another 40 or so to the fairgrounds. It's a 10 minute drive from the turnpike to the fairgrounds on a normal day. Still, bring your walking shoe's, it's a BIG place !!! Steve Novelli

Southwind, I would get on the Web site to find out about were to camp. I have been going to this event for many years, and always found it to be a great time, except when it rains. It's more than a car show, they have a nice swap meet and lots of vendors selling just about anything for a English car, and other makes. Go and enjoy it, I think you'll be happy you went !!! See you there !!!! Steve Novelli

http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/428628374_Besty,Steve,Abby, S1 in the driveway Oct 13 2006 017.jpg Hal, I think your fenders look great, I sent a photo just so you can see how others fit. Cycle fenders keep most, some, alittle , stones from hitting you. But thats the fun of it. I am enjoying your build, nice work. Steve:cheers:
